I''ve actually got that WF setting and I am absolutely ga-ga over it. It sit low and the melee sparkle their little hearts out.

You have the same one!! Awesome. Can you post pictures???

You might want to move quickly to make sure a lurker doesn''t buy it first. It''s not the most popular color, so you might be safe, but then again, this thread''s been read about 400 times so far. Maybe talk to Wink about reserving it.

I just sent a message to him. Does that really happen. People lurk to find a well discussed stone and steal it from someone? Man that would really make me mad for someone to do that

Many stones have been lost because once it is brought to the lurker''s attention they snap it up while the hesitant PSer is trying to find something better. Putting a hold on a stone gives you a few more days to reconsider safely.

That is a gorgeous diamond and it would look great in either setting! Lucky girl!

Wink must have had his ears ringing, because I emailed him and he got back to me. Either he''s in another time zone, or he just stays up late like me. It''s on reserve and I''m going to see if WF is open tomorrow, probably not, but I''m going to get the wheels moving and see what happens. I feel secure in both companies and hopefully will have the ring in hand soon.

OH! Found another one for you. When I was first looking I posted asking for photos of the setting and got several. One posted here has a princess center and they changed the channel set stones to princesses too.

Yes and especially this time of year it happens even more, so get that beauty reserved if you want it. More and more people are beginning to appreciate the lower colours....

Please let us know when you get it. I love the lower colors and I bet it''s going to be gorgeous

Thank you very much for the pictures, did you buy the setting and the stone from WF or separate places. I am confused about the process, do I buy them and then have them shipped together, or can any local jeweler set my stone if I bring it to them? Should I have Wink send the stone directly to WF? Should I get them both over nighted and take it local.....

Call and talk to wink. He will tell you your options are.

Contact Wink, he will tell you the best way to proceed with this.

Good idea, I''ve contacted him, hopefully he checks his email on Sunday. I think my blood pressure and stress level will be back to a normal human being

lol!! Hang in there, Wink is a wonderful gentleman and will guide you through the process!

Yea, he has been a great help. The video and pictures are a great help. The cut of this diamond makes most of the color not show up. I will definately post pictures once I get the ring and after I propose. Anyone know what banks charge to do a wire transfer? I haven''t called them yet, any ideas?

different bank charges different rates. check your bank''s website, it should be in the rates and fees section.

I think it depends on the bank, it isn''t much usually.

And we will NEED pics of this beauty when it is done!

Given the choice of an Infinity K or L in a princess cut, I''d choose the K since it has been said on here many times that color will show more in a princess than a round. Can Wink call in the K for you? I also would not need an appraisal on a GIA or AGS certified stone from Wink. But I do think you need to see the color in person in natural light and indoor light. I will add that I think warmer colors look especially nice in antique settings.

Unfortunately, the K doesn''t fit within my budget. I''ve already uppped it to get the L. Things are a lil slow in my business right now and will probably upgrade later to a better stone. I think the timing is right and if we need to change later we can. We''ll see what it looks like in person, that''s really the kicker.

I cannot emphasize enough how great it is to use a jeweler with an upgrade policy! That takes so much anxiety out of the purchase, because you can always change to a higher color or different size later on if you wish! So I do hope you love the stone..it certainly will be beautiful regardless of the color!

Those Crafted by Infinity princess cuts are gorgeous! All colors are beautiful. I was just at the one of the local dealers yesterday, and had them pull out a couple for me to view. One was a K, and it was gorgeous. Something about the very slight background tint sets off the sparkles better than a pure white background. I think Wink has said this before, and it''s really true. I expect your L is going to be sweet treat for the eyes.

The strong blue fluorescence should make the L look whiter--it might even look whiter than the K. Ask Wink about that.

The best way to reach Wink is to call him on the phone. He''s as nice as can be. He''ll answer all your questions, and you can trust what he says.

Ok,

After an hour long conversation with Wink, the diamond is now mine and on it''s way to WF to be set in this setting and here is a cool new video he shot for me while we were talking.

I can''t tell you enough how much I want to thank the people that contribute to this forum. I was convinced I was going to buy at the mall, I found the PERFECT ring there. I gave it a second thought and started to do some research. I stumbled upon this site. At first it was only to search for the best price on the BIGGEST stone I could afford. After realizing that I was in no way prepared to make an educated decision about this purchase, I started lurking and reading. I did not register or post, I just wanted to learn all the information I could.

After reading numerous opinions from longtime members who knew way more about diamonds than I thought was healthy, I really learned what I should be looking for in a stone that will be the foundation for the rest of my life together with the woman I love. There she is, sleeping on the couch with our yorkie named Reesi; she has an idea of what''s coming because I asked her opinion about what style and settings she would like to look at every day. What she does not realize is how very special this present will be to me because of the time I spent learning all I could before making this purchase. I can''t wait to see her face once she sees this very special L colored rock.

If anyone here is debating their purchase, I would highly suggest a quick call to Wink. After spending an hour on the phone with him, I can tell that he truly loves the business he''s in. He has a passion and a down to earth perspective about diamonds, that I wouldn''t have got from the mall stores. I am 24 and most of the employees I ran into in mall jewelery stores are younger than I am, and knowing what I know now, have a limited knowledge about diamonds.

Again, I want to thank everyone for keeping this website going. Everyone should take a look at Wink''s Website he may not have the flashy eye grabber website, but, his selection of Infinity cut diamonds will keep up with the best. I can''t tell you how excited I am to have this ring on the way.

NEXT CHALLENGE: figure out how/where/when to propose

You've picked a faboo stone, and a gorgeous setting! Wow, I wish I could see the look on her face too. She's gonna love it.

Good luck with the proposal, I'll be waiting for hand shots !!
