Hi everyone!

I'm new here and right now my SO and I are starting our ring search. We recently went to a local jeweler and found what we think is a nice ring, but we wanted to double check with you guys and see what you guys think. I also found a few RBs online that might be a contender for us. The diamond that we decide upon will go on a Tacori ring 2520 (I think that's the style number), so it's a halo setting.

So far it's between these 3 diamonds, and if you guys know of any other ones that are nice then please point me to the right direction :) Our price range is under $12k for the stone, I would like for it to be around $10k preferably (which is the price of the stone at the jeweler, the 1.22 carat one).

1. 1.22 carat VS2 E ideal cut (hearts and arrow too i think) - attached

I do have another question regarding color too. Originally I wanted only a D-E color diamond but after reading some of you guys thoughts then it seems like most would prefer to go down on color and up on carat size. I would definitely like something bigger than one carat, 1.2-1.3 seems to be the ideal number in our price range. I haven't looked into G-H diamonds, so I'm not sure about pricing. I don't think I am color sensitive, my SO and I looked at a loose diamond that's a D and a F, and my SO could def tell the color difference but I couldn't at all. So I guess my question is, is it really worth it to go down on color and up onveryth carat size?

Thanks in advance everyone, you guys have no idea how glad I found out about the forum because I feel so overwhelmed with all of the information and since this is a pretty big purchase, I want to be absolutely sure about it.

*bump*

Help please :)

Also please ignore the question regarding G color, I went back to the store and saw a G next to an E and I could tell the difference. Of course it was because it was right next to each other and facing up, but I think it might bother me still (all in my head).

This is the third stone from your list

I think if you go with WF you should choose from their ES or ACA stones (which are very very beautiful!), their virtual selections are usually cost more than other vendors (for the same stone), maybe if you decide to go with WF you can ask them for price match (I don't know if it's possible or not).

They won't price match but they may wiggle on the setting if you also purchase that from them, esp if it's a custom job

Thanks cachia85! I like that one too and the price point is really great, I have to be really good at looking around then. Do you guys have any other vendors that you like besides WF, GOG, BN?

Stone-cold: Here are the idealscope pics of the one that I attached the GIA report, what do you guys think?

Those are not idealscope image but images under a H&A viewer and the optical symm is not up there with a true H&A.

Some other vendors with images are HPD, NiceIce, BrianGavinDiamond, JA.
