Opinions on resetting stone

Hi All,

I have been lurking on and off for the past year and have finally come out of the shadows to post. I am thinking of resetting the diamond in my engagement ring which belonged to my great grandmother. This is a bad pic of it but the specs are 1.15 G, VVS2 (the stone is on the deep side). I love the halo rings but can''t decide if I want to go with the pave on the band or something a little more simple like the Tacori. I have a squared off round bead set eternity wedding ring that will be paired with the ring. I have a picture of a similar Tacori band that I will post. I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas! Finally - The Tacori setting that is another option - I''m not very partial to the shape of the band though. I prefer the squared off look of my wedding band.

Tacori may be able to customize the band to a style that you like better, as long as it doesnt pose a threat to the ring or anything. Do you have the Tacori wedding band you posted the picture of? beautiful.

Brwnidgurl511 is a PSer with that same Tacori e-ring you posted (I think her fi got it from niceice.com if I remember correctly) if you want to PM her for info?

I also know that SEVERAL posters have had some difficulties w/ Tacori recently, so just an FYI

Since you love the head of that one e-ring but like a different band, what about a custom job? I bet Whiteflash could approximate it--did you see the amazing custom version of the Ritani endless love they did? SERIOUS yum

My stone is the about same weight as yours, and I have a halo ring - it REALLY makes the stone look bigger!
