So, I ordered my dress today. It was a bit bittersweet, as my mom was supposed to be here, but she was back in my hometown getting her cancer treatment. But, I am glad to have put down the deposit on the dress, and I know this is her favorite dress!

Ditto Andi - I like a lot of the other dresses I''d seen pictures of you in, but this is PERFECTION. The whole thing - it looks elegant and bridal without looking childish, and the back is TDF on you - absolutely gorgeous. You look beautiful and so lovely and graceful and classic in this dress - I''m so glad to hear you got it.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I''ll try to answer some of the questions.

The dress is an Amy Kuschel, a designer who works out of San Francisco. All of her dresses are actually made here in SF (no outsourcing to other countries) AND if you buy the dress from the San Francisco salon, it is made to order. They took over 20 different measurements of me. They make a prototype of the dress for your first fitting, and then 6 weeks later you have 2-3 more fittings with the actual dress.

I have to say, for the quality of the dress, the price is very good. The organza on the bottom is all silk and beautiful, as is the lace. And the price for the dress is under $3k (if anyone is interested in exact pricing, let me know). They do give a $150 discount for ordering on your second visit, in my case I came in a third time just to order the dress and they gave it to me. If you are not getting married in CA, they will also waive sales tax.

Also, for any local brides, they are actually having a BIG sample sale (40%+ off) starting today I think. It said the gowns will be in bridal sizes 2-14...I saw them putting out some of the dresses and they are GORGEOUS! I think you''re being too harsh on yourself - like everyone else has said, there''s nothing negative that could be said about you in this dress, it''s exquisite. And as for your smallish bust, I don''t think this is at all noticeable with the lovely lace bodice. Your waist looks teeny weeny and there''s no hint of ''wideness'' anywhere. You look perfect and beautifully proportioned.

I''m sure your mum agrees if this was her fave dress too. I hope she''s on the road to recovery
