Ordered my dress!!!

I''m new to the BWW forum!!! I''m so excited! I got engaged April 24,2009! I have a beautiful EC solitaire and now I just ordered my wedding dress!! It''s a Maggie Sottero dress called Karena. It was absolutely beautiful and for some reason me and my mother had no thoughts to take pictures!!!

But I have the link to the website so i''ll give you that if you are interested! I absolutely love it and cannot wait to wear it!

The picture shown is the all white with a brown sash but I ordered it in all ivory with an ivory sash! The picture on the net doesn''t do it justice! Hope yall like it!

Pocahontas: We originally were just going to look at dresses, but if you buy the first time in the store you get 10% off everything! So we ordered the dress and veil! the veil has the same lace along the edge. it goes perfectly! We actually have the church, hall, band, and now the dress! we are definitely on a roll!! It''s nice to know many of the big things are out of the way!

Thank you so much ladies!! I am so happy with my dress! All of your comments just make me so happy, i actually giggle thinking about it!!! I love it and want to go try it on again just cause! haha! I only have one concern, I know it will look amazing but I am worried about the mermaid/trumpet style dress restricting me from moving. Since the size i tried on was a 12 and i am a size 2 it made a difference when i tried it on. so do you think I will be restricted from dancing and such?

the dress is beautiful! Wow a size 12 to a size 2 is a huge difference! have you tried the 2 on? i am curious to see if it makes a difference as well, as all the dresses i try on seem to be around the 10-12 size and i am a 4, i am assuming there would some difference, not so much that you couldn''t dance at all.. just maybe not the tango???

No I havent tried anything on smaller than a 12! I was hoping I could go back and try something on that was close to my size but I don''t want to regret my decision... its already set in stone. Makes me nervous! I think I might just wait till it comes in and try it, I know I will absolutely love it. I am just really claustrophobic and when I cannot move I tend to get antsy.

Does anyone know/know of anyone who wore a mermaid cut dress? Maybe I can get some answers?? I think pictures might help me too!

Did you order a 2 or are you a 2 in street sizes? Because my dress is a 12 in bridal sizes, but I wear a 6/8 in street clothes, so my guess is that is more what the difference was (Bridal sizes are, on average about 2 sizes bigger than street sizes).

As long as you liked the shape, it should be fine (and probably better). Several recent brides were both small and wore mermaid/trumpet dresses, so I am sure they will be able to answer you better.

Katamari: I am kind of all over the place in street clothes. It all depends on the store. I am a zero in some, a 2 in some and others I am a 3. They measured my natural waist and it was 24 in. I dont remember bust or hips. she showed me my measurements and compared them to the size chart and all 3 measurements came out to a size 2 for the wedding dress. I''m just a little worried about being able to move my knees. I''m sure I''ll be able to, I think I just worry myself to death.

Anyone else have their .02??

I found that buying the dress made it feel all that more real, as you can imagine things falling into place when your dress is firmly in your mind. Congrats!!
