Our first present arrived!

I''m so excited, I just have to share this.

Last night FI and I came home from work to a package on our back doorstep. It was from Macy''s. Before I opened the package, I checked the mail. In the mail I got a card from FI''s aunt with a note saying that our shower gift should be arriving soon! I let FI open it (I am having my first shower tomorrow, so I will get to open enough presents tomorrow). Inside was the cobalt and tangerine four-piece place setting of Fiesta ware we registered for! It is so exciting!

On a side note, I checked my registry, and the tangerine place setting hadn''t been removed, but the cobalt one had. Hopefully this isn''t an indication of future registry hiccups.

I''m a little nervous for the shower tomorrow. It is being thrown by my FSILs and FMIL. There is going to be a lot of FI''s extended family there that I haven''t really met before...

Don''t be nervous about the meeting of the family. Even if they don''t like you it is too bad! Just kidding!! You already got your first gift...so the wedding is on/ no turning back!! They are going to love you just like their son, cousin, nephew, 2nd cousin removed... distant relative...or what ever your finance is to them. He chose you...and they are going to choose to love you too! Besides they are going to eat cake and drink punch and have little petite mints and maybe even sandwiches made from fingers. They are going to be in a great party mood!! Cuz...It is a party!! FOR YOU!!!!
