I finally found some printable invitations that I like and were priced right.

Amazing how hard that can be!

I found them at paperdirect. We are going to print them with an aqua/teal ink in keeping with the beach theme.

What do you guys think? Has anybody else printed their own invitations? I am hoping it is a fairly painless process.

Here''s a closeup of the palm tree embossed detail:

We didn''t print our own. I did my save the date cards, programs, etc myself but not the invites. I love these for a beach wedding!!!

I am doing the same thing, I bought mine at an XPEDX store here in town, they are similar to your, but more simple ie, no palm tree, and they are Ivory. I haven''t printed them yet, but that''s my plan, we did the same thig for my sisters wedding and they turned out really well. Mine will be Ivory, and I''m going to hole punch them for a ribbon bow in mint and chocolate, and the printing will be in chocolate. I''ll try to post one after I get them done.

Those are cute!

We designed our''s and had them printed professionally by a local print shop. It was definitely a process, one that required a ton of nagging on my part to get FI to finish the design.

We did print our own envelopes b/c the print shop totally flaked on that part of the process. That was such a pain in the ass, very time consuming, lots of excess ink on the envelopes, and crooked printing, and uncentered text, that made us have to buy even more envelopes. For every usable envelope we had at least one unusable one.

If we were having just one normal wedding like everybody else, I would definitely not have done all this by ourselves. It wasn''t worth the stress. I would use one of the vendors where they print everything for you, including the envelopes. I know they''d look a little cookie-cutter but it would be worth it to save all the hours and hours of time and stress.

Oohh!! I love your invitations! Very cute!!

I did my own invitations and printed them from my home printer without any problems. The only thing I would recommend and I am sure you were thinking of doing it anyways, is printing them off in small batches. Good luck!

Thanks firegoddess!

amyg: Your invitations sound really cute.

selflove: What a mess with your envelopes.

Hopefully mine won''t be as painful!

sosst7: Good idea with the small batches. I was figuring that would be the best way to do it.
