Padparadscha journey

It looks bubblegum pink to me.

These are vendors pics right? Not yours?
Any chance their camera just isn’t picking up the orange and amping the pink?

Yep, vendor pictures, but she did say the IRL color is most like the first posted pic....which doesn't seem to have any color shift.

I see a bit more brown than I would like in a pad and I'm actually ok with brown as I own brown stones.

:O Really? So the 1.55ct is still the frontrunner in your opinion?

Another pic taken next to sunlight (indoors though):

Which spots do you see brown if you don't mind? Or is because the pink is more of a faded pink than a pure pink?

The strip down the middle. But that could just be my screen if it's not on yours.

Hmm, I see! In the video, I can't tell if it's extinction or brown tbh, but point taken. Also, it could be lighting, but the color looks kinda washed up? Esp for USD4500 lo.

I love the color zoning in that one!

I like the color shift too! But after a bit more thinking, decided that my ideal is a tad more saturated and the the teensiest teeniest bit more pink lol.

Does this look brown to anyone?

Comes w/AGTL prestige report, color stable unheated pad.

You need to see that stone in artificial light, but the color is not brownish to my eyes in those pictures, but a true pinkish orange. It’s a pity it’s so windowed. Ugh!

I decided to pass...after the vendor told me it was USD5500/carat (for a 2.5ct stone). I did receive a pad which looks reeeeally pretty today:

I see a lot of brown from the picture.

Now you are close to my favorite color pad. I see brown but not overwhelming. I suspect a window?

Will you please re-fresh us with what color of pad you are looking for? More pink or more orange or zoned or a blend? What face up size you want, and how important to you is really nice faceting, and your budget?

Windowed for sure, but it has that delicate, can't tell if it's pink or orange quality that I like :D

Under 2ct, either a 50-50 pink-orange blend or 60-40 orange-pink. Faceting is inversely related to how much I love the quality. Would also like some silk. Trying to stay under USD3000.

Omg!!!! Yeeees

Take pics! Post pics!!!!

The 1.56 looks amazing; hope it looks as promising in person! :lickout:

Oh, wow! I reeeaaally like this one. The pink and orange is so beautifully balanced. It's pretty saturated, but I prefer that. The more pastel ones are gorgeous, but get lost on my lighter skin tone, so I've developed a preference for more saturated pads. I thought I saw some bubbly type inclusions in the video, but it might have just been the way the person was twirling the stone. I couldn't tell if it was light bouncing around or inclusions. This one is definitely worth a closer look.

I checked out the 1.56ct and a 1.06ct one today! And I took pictures in various lighting:

1.56ct by itself, indoor normal lighting:

1.06ct vs 1.56ct:

1.06ct, next to window around 3PM:

Irl, the 1.06ct is ever slightly more orange than the 1.56ct one. 1.56ct has some lavender flashes whereas 1.06 has none, and the 1.56ct has more extinction zones than the 1.06, hence why I'm leaning atm towards the smaller one. What does everyont think?

Based in your pics I would say the smaller one

If just these two I prefer the smaller one but it’s quite small isn’t it? Will you be looking at others?

I like the smaller one better. It looks like it has a nicer orange- pink color mix compared to the larger one. I also see lavender and some slight brown in the larger one, neither of which I like in a pad (almost disqualifying as a pad in my opinion).

Yep, will be looking at another two on Monday! To me, 1.06ct is ok, but we'll see what else is out there,
