Starting a thread for my newest project which I finally got into the jewellers.

I chose a design for the ring but asked the designer I’m working with to review it and give it her spin. The prongs for the pad will be rose gold and the rest of the ring white gold.

I had clustered the stones for the earrings broadly how I wanted them and asked her to design around that structure.

Saw the designers drawings yesterday and LOVE them. I will post them when I get photos. The pads for the earrings will be set in rose gold with diamond accents set in white gold.

Now just the agonising wait for the work to be done!109A0E3D-6D33-41C4-BEE6-E98BE068FCF4.jpegDEDC7410-0336-444C-A422-9BF0A2C08AD2.jpeg

Really lovely! Colors remind me of old English roses.
I look forward to discovering the sketches. Thank you for sharing:-)

Oh wow, such beautiful colors! Looking forward to the drawings.

@Ionysis, my dh was walking by my ipad the other day and noticed your profile pic...he told me to tell you he really likes it - Of course I do too lol!

Ha ha really?! That’s one of my favourite threads of here actually - the ring finger families!

So many pretty shades of pads! Looking forward to the project as it unfolds:)

I don't see a thread for the main pad? It's gorgeous! It deserves its own thread if it doesn't have one already. I need more pics!

I can't wait to see your creation - the colors are so lovely!

Ooo YUMMY!! :lickout: Not only do they look edible, they're BEAUTIFUL!!! Very eager to see your designs!

It’s funny you should say that, I thought they looked somewhat like petals as well. When I first started collecting I wanted to make drop / dangle earrings in one line but once I’d seen them all together I couldn’t resist the cluster effect.

I think purists would debate whether some of these could really be called pads - although they are all certified as such it’s not by Gubelin or GRS. But I find it quite fascinating how everyone seems to have a different view on the “ideal” pad colour and thought it would be interesting to showcase the variety of colours which fall into that spectrum.

Some of the cuts are poor also, because they are obviously cut for weight but I kind of like the individual personalities that gives them. Plus of course it meant the project wasn’t prohibitively expensive because the stones aren’t “ideal”.

My only real insistence was on them being unheated. Otherwise I was pretty open minded on the range of what I thought would be acceptable.

They should be done in two weeks hopefully. Now I just have to work our how to hide them all from my husband!

A couple more pics in different lights. The main pad for the ring is a gorgeous colour but I sacrificed on clarity for affordability. To me colour was the more important factor.

Danglies in a line? Hard to not think of that when I see them all aligned between your fingers.

Amazing! I love your collection!

That was exactly what I first had in mind. This being my inspiration

But I already have some morganite drops which I never wear because the style really doesn’t suit my face shape that well.

So after a lot of deliberation I decided I’d probably get more use out of clusters.

Knowing me though I will have to start collecting again as soon as these are done so I might end up with the dangles too!

so exciting! Can’t wait to see the finished product :kiss2:

Dang, that is one gorgeous pad! It's going to look amazing once set...especially with a bright white halo to make it pop.

Not all dangling earrings are created equal.

The Morganite earrings have a very different look than the chunkier pad earrings you showed, if you break them up with another gem in between that is wider than the pads, it may be exactly what you are looking for.

IE: pad / marquise white sapphire ~10x5 (set East /west) / pad / wsap/ and so on

Perfect! And I (newly) love the idea of L/R asymmetry!

$2,400 for that one I think. It’s 2.65ct. No heat.

This is the last one I bought - $620. It’s pinkish orange and most prefer orangey pink but I think it’s cute.

In any case - can’t go too far wrong at that price.
