My stones were all loose when I purchased them, I just had them set into rings and the pendant and earrings.

The blue sapphire was already set into a ring.

I think with the .87 and the .60 I am going to have a three stone ring designed for a big birthday I have coming up in September.

I have another question. How big is reasonable, generally? 0.6ct? 0.7ct? Or do you have to go higher to get a reasonably sized stone?

They are small stones, but the color is gorgeous. They would make for a small ring.

If you want to have a "bigger" look you might consider a halo setting
