Tacori, I just looked up the thread on your Tessa ring (which is BEAUTIFUL, by the way), and I have a question for you. DH is getting me a Bev K band (this one) for Christmas. We just ordered it from Pearlman''s this afternoon, and Pat said she was going to put the order in today. BUT, this was before I saw your Tessa ring''s thread, and saw that you had Bev K put a sizing bar in your ring!!! I didn''t know they could do that, and now the order has already been placed at Bev K!!!

Do you think it''s too late? Pearlman''s is open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, and I know Pat is working, so if I call her first thing tomorrow, do you think she could get Bev K to modify the order? I would need them to reduce the size by two sizes and insert a sizing bar. Help!!!

Oh, I feel so important to get a page. Haha! I would call (and maybe e-mail right now so pat gets it first thing) for sure if you want a sizing bar. I doubt it will be a problem at all but might delay you getting your beautiful ring (lucky girl!) I love the look of eternity rings but think they are unpractical. My sizing bar is *very* small and allows the ring to be sized two up/two down. The BK rep I spoke to (before I even contacted Pearlman''s) was SO nice. She said every ring can be customized (replace sapphires for diamonds, different color gold, etc) so I really do believe they want their customers to be happy. You will not be disappointed. I am very pleased with BK''s quality. Can''t wait to see you new ring!

I''m not Tacori, but I just placed an order with Pearlman''s for a BK band today too, and from my understanding Pearlman''s will send the order to BK and it takes BK a few days to confirm the order. I don''t think it''s too late to add a sizing bar. Definitely call to ask tomorrow! Can''t wait to see your band! We should get our bands around the same time.

And thank you so much for the reply! I didn''t even think to ask if a sizing band would be possible, until I happened across your Tessa ring''s thread tonight. DUH! Why didn''t I think of that?!?! LOL!

I don''t have Pat''s e-mail address, and I''m afraid that she won''t get the e-mail if I just send it through the general Pearlman''s e-mail address, so I think I''ll call her first thing tomorrow. Just so this whole dilemma makes a little more sense, here''s what I did: I ordered the ring in a size 9 1/2 (yes, you read that right!) because that''s the size of my biggest finger (my right thumb). I wanted the option of wearing the band on ANY finger so I can switch it up sometimes. I knew I wouldn''t be able to get it sized at all since it''s an eternity band, so I ordered it big enough to fit my biggest finger and planned on using sizing beads if I wanted to wear it on a smaller finger. (I really didn''t think a sizing bar was an option! LOL!) So, I''m planning to start by wearing it on my right ring finger, which is about a 7 1/2. My right ring finger won''t be its forever home though, because my current e-ring is probably going to live there after I get my upgrade in a few years!

Thanks again for the info!!! You''re a life saver!!!

You are funny! My Tessa ring is exactly what I wanted in a push present so I did so much research. When I found out about BK I contacted them about the sizing bar b/c that was one of my must haves and everything else about it was perfect. Since the ring *IS* for Tessa I wanted to make sure she could size it to fit her (whatever size that may be). Mine is just a straight across bar. I am not sure if they could mimic the design or how they would do it. Be sure to ask Pat. I worked with Julian so I do not have her info. Like snlee said I am SURE you have time to change it. A ring two sizes too big would probably be uncomfortable anyways. Wouldn''t it stick out a lot?

Ya know, I was kinda worried about that myself! I really wasn''t sure how comfortable the sizing beads would be, or how far they would make the ring stick out on the palm side of my hand. But I read some threads about sizing beads here on PS, and it seems like most people who have them don''t mind them once they get used to them. BUT, I would definitely rather have a sizing bar! That seems like it would be so much easier and more comfortable! Also, with the design of the band being so detailed (milgraining, etc.), I would be worried that the part on the palm side of my hand would take a beating, and I think a sizing bar might help with that a little bit. I don''t anticipate ever needing to size the ring down by very much (if at all), but I may need to size it up substantially if I decide to switch it to a different finger. I wonder if Bev K would be able to make the sizing bar pretty narrow, since I probably won''t need to make it any more narrow in the future (if that makes any sense)?

I would just talk to Pat tomorrow. I''m sure she can help you come up with a solution.

My DH got me this band to celebrate the birth of our son. I can''t wait to get it!

Snlee, you know I ma a fan! It will be stunning!

Irish, what did Pat say?

Thanks Irish and Tacori!

Irish, keep us posted.

Well, I called Pat today, and she said she would contact Bev K on Monday to change the order. We're getting a size 7 1/2 (instead of the 9 1/2) which will fit my right ring finger. I asked her about putting a sizing bar in the ring, and she said she'll talk to Bev K about that too and see if that can be done. Also, Pat mentioned that she recently had a customer who needed to get a Carl Blackburn eternity band resized (which is similar to many of the Bev K ones). Pat found a company who was able to resize that customer's eternity band!!! She said it looks perfect and you can't even tell it was resized. I had no idea that could be done!!!
