I didn''t mean to be rude by not answering your question. Yes, I do have a new Tsavorite. It wasn''t mine until very very recently and so I didn''t want to discuss it. I''ll take more pics when I can. I hope it''s as nice as yours.

I didn''t think you were rude in the slightest - I just had my supsicions that you were up to something!

And I was right!

Can''t wait to see more pics!

I meant to add that it looks amazing in your avatar.

The colour is to die for and has that gorgeous neon glow.

Can you give us the stats? It looks quite a bit bigger than mine - and a bit fatter, which is a look I love.

Do you know what you''re going to do with it yet?

Thanks! I don't have the dimensions, just the weight (3.22 ct.). What do you think of a skinny pave band?

P.S. There's a matched pair that matches. Uh oh.

Nice! Wow, 3.22ct - that''s a whopper!

Are you going to split shank it or put a teeny tiny halo round - or just a very thin band?

A very small shared-prong rather than pave could look great as well - more diamond, less metal!

Don''t talk to me about matching things...

I''ve just heard from Richard that he''s found me a 4ct fat oval sphene and a matched pair of rounds (just over a carat each) - all with killer dispersion. I''m soooo excited - and I haven''t seen pics yet.

Tucson time is DANGEROUS!

Just a band. Have you seen my red spinel? That''s getting a halo and split-shank.

Why?

Ooh. Do post pics when you get them.

Nah, Tucson time is exciting.

If you mean why not to talk to me about matching things...

Let''s just say I was only planning to get the one larger sphene.

How did I miss that spinel???

For a moment I thought it was the one I posted the other day - I even fished it out of my folder to check! It is equally gorgeous - actually I think the colour on yours is better - and I''m very jealous.

The Leon setting is beautiful too - when is it finished??

Harriet, Harriet, Harriet,

What are you up to now????? LOL. You have such beautiful stones and jewelry.

A pair of earrings never hurt.

Thank you. It''s not a very good picture, really. Leon and I are still ironing out the details.

Linda,
What do you think? Grab the matched pair as well?

Harriet, you HAVE to get the matching pair!

As you say: A pair of earrings never hurts!

And I can live vicariously through you!

Are they rounds or cushions? How big?

YES Harriet, get the matched pair!!!!!!! Can''t wait to see pictures of everything.

Linda

I''m considering rounds. The biggest pair is 6x6mm. Grab or wait for a larger size?

Ok, I''ve asked for matched cushions. This material is too fine to pass up.

Great Harriet,

When do you get your ring back from Leon?????? Hasn''t it been a long time now?

Are you having them cut?

If they are as good as the one in your avatar looks, they will be amazing!

No. I just dropped it off last week. I was sick for the whole of Jan plus extremely busy.

No. What size, you think?

How are you planning to set them?

Regular studs.

In that case, I''d go for something around the 1.20ct mark - each. Geez, I like helping to spend your $$
9.gif

If you were going to think of jackets in the future I would go for around 0.80ct (although jackets would be tricky with rounds). I was going to ask FI for earring jackets as my wedding present - and then look for a pair of 5mm round tsavs.

Then I saw the sphene in the Nat. Hist. Museum and that was that. Earring jackets are now on my ''post-paying off the wedding'' list!

Are you having double claws? Or just normal?

I''m debating whether to do claws like this on my new rocks, I really love them and they''re a bit different from the doubles - I need make sure that there is no danger of chipping the stone whilst setting them though.

The ring stone is approximately 7x9mm. Square cushions of 7x7mm? How many carats is that?

I like those prongs. I have prongs like them myself.

My cushion is 7.25 x 5.75 and is 1.42ct , soooooo 7 x 7 is probably ball park 1.5ct each.

Oooh what do you have with prongs like those? Are there pics on PS?

ETA: The tsav in your avatar is almost identical to how mine looks colourwise IRL - is the avatar pic a good representation or is it lighter in the flesh so to speak?

My diamond ring.

We are Tsavorite twins. It''s an accurate pic.
