Passing by each other...

I was just thinking. what if we walk by each other in everyday life and dont even know it?

we could be passing by the people that are fellow LIW and that we have become friends with over this forum and not even know it!! I am sure that it has happened. i could be purchasing food at the super market and it could be smurfysmiles, blue moon or any of the other ladies here, giving me my change back and i would have no idea! or say you are at dinner and the waitress serves you dinner, or at school... yah know?!? I know that some of you ladies post pictures of yourselves but...what if? you know?

Umm, definitely guilty of doing this with Livejournal. BUT it was a group for incoming freshman in my uni. So I'm thinking maybe it's a little less creepy?

Honey, isn''t the blinding sparkle of our WELL CUT diamonds enough of a beacon?

Actually, a travel forum I used to read gave out pins many years ago. The idea was to wear them in abroad (or put them on your bag or whatever) and see who else you ran into. I never bothered to get one, nor have I ever seen someone wearing it.

In theory I would like to meet you all, practically my Irish pricescopers and then move outwards to the lovely p'scopers in the UK. I have even thought about it.


But, I am more honest (careful, mind you but honest) than I ever am IRL. I do not think I would be comfortable with somebody 'knowing me' at that level on a first meeting if you know what I mean.

Ultimately it is the security risk which most freaks me out. I am not very trusting.

Musey, that exact thing happened to me a while ago. Dh and I were at our favorite bar and a woman came up to me and said "nytemist? hi, Aljdewey.'' I was so shocked I almost fell off the chair. We chatted for a little bit, though I was still so surprised. She recognized us from pics I have posted.

I know there are a handful more PS''ers that live around the Boston area and I wonder if I ever pass by them too.

Whoa! That''s so weird and kind of awesome! Once I saw an e-ring I thought I recognized from here...but I didn''t say anything because I wasn''t positive and I didn''t want to seem weird! But if I saw someone who I recognized because of their face, I''d probably say something!

Well, I have a mutual friend with one of our ladies on here. I won''t say who because I don''t want to creep her out. But this friend of mine was talking about her friend who was getting married and then later telling me all about the wedding. And I was all ''hmmm, that sounds somewhat familiar''. The P''scoper in questions sometimes uses her own name, and all the details match, including the wedding date, so there''s no doubt it''s her!

Anyway, even though there are warm feelings all around on this one, I thought it best to respect everyone''s privacy and keep the info to myself.

Musey, it''s very possible we''ve crossed paths at some point since I worked at your alma mater from 2000-2007. Also, Sumbride and I found PS completely independently, but then realized than my SIL is her best friend! It''s a very small world.

That''s great! I don''t think it would be too creepy. We do talk a lot on PS, so if I were to randomly run into someone from here, I''d think it was kinda fun. I''m one of those *sort of* from the Boston area PSers (well, an hour north), and I''ve often wondered if I''d pass by someone.

I was thinking about this same thing today... I was interpreting at a registration desk and while people signed in I was bling watching as us PSers like to do. I thought, "Wow, how crazy would it be if I recognized one of these rings?!" There were hundreds passing by me, 3 that were PS worthy, none recognizable lol
