For several years I've thought of a particular pear shaped ring with a bezel setting from The Natural Sapphire Company (for my wife).

I've read through some other threads here about blue sapphires, and the thread with poster looking for much the same thing, although a much larger stone.

NSC has this stone available. Could I have some comments on it please?

It's about the right size, I think. And the right price. I like the color, not too light and not too dark. The "vivid" coloration is my favorite.

Its a nice color , make and price.
I would say go for it.

OP - based on the video, potentially color zoning may be visible from the top view (see the lighter zone in the table area as the stone rotates?) And/or, the lightest area may in fact be reflecting a very bright/white spot-light. Either way, the stone looks like IRL it will be darker than the images suggest. FWIW in my own opinion this stone does not appear to be "vivid." The sale price is not a great deal for this size and color, but it is not a terrible price. If you really are intent on purchasing it, I'd encourage you to double-check the return policy, and to have it sent loose so you can inspect it in various lighting conditions.

My initial thought was that $1000 for 1ct heated sapphire with color zoning and perhaps a window is a bit high. You might get an unheated one for the same amount.
