I''ve been browsing a bit for a setting for my new pendant...must be a bezel...and am I correct that the majority says that the tiffany style bezel (with the exposed culet) can scratch a bit? I will wear it ALL the time so I''ve opted for a full bezel....is it more likely to tip a bit? I think I''d rather tip than scratch...

Big shout out to Leslie at WF...while I ended up with a stone the fabulous Mark found for me (he came up with a hottie for me, as usual)...Leslie is fabulous!

While I have neither, my BIL just bought a bezel pendant for my SIL. The jeweler said that the exposed culet may scratch, but that the full bezel (covered culet) does have a tendancy to tip. So I guess it''s just whatever you can live with more. He decided to go with the full bezel.

How exciting MMM! My diamond pendant is bezel set with the culet open at the bottom. However the sides of the bezel go down far enough that the diamond is completely encased from the sides so the point does not scratch. It does flip occasionally, but not bad. I love the bezel setting!

I second word for word everything Sundial said! I love my bezel with open culet (with high walls), it flips rarely and is sooo beautiful, and I''m so excited for you!!

Oh, and don''t forget to post pics of whatever you end up going with!
