Hello everyone, I was wondering what you all thought of these peridot''s? I am looking for a nice size stone for earrings. Has anyone bought from this vendor? I am looking at the 4.12 ct stones. Although round cut isn''t my first choice I haven''t had a lot of luck finding stepcuts.

Thanks for the help

If you want step-cuts you''ll probably have to contact the vendors directly. I know Doug from Bespoke has some peridot rough. As far as those go, I would think that they''re a little large for studs, but I bet they''d look amazing as lever-back earrings!

Wow they have some amazing things on that website. I like blingy studs, large earlobes.

TreenB, I love viktor frankl and his existential psychoanalysis.
Peter Torroca has a real nice largey 4 carat like squarey peridot
and you could ask him to cut another to match.

Are you a treen collector too?

I think Frankl''s life is amazing, as well as his career. I don''t know what treen is. I know what treenware is hehe. Treen is a play on Kattrina, my name.

This would make a fabulous lever back drop earring (with a mate of course)!

Those rounds seem very nice, not too yellow, and being the sparkliest of cuts as well as peridots (quite a brilliant variety of gemstones), they''re probably beautiful in person. Of course you can never be certain judging from the photos, but I have a pretty good feeling about these.

Peridots commonly contain small black inclusions and “lily pad” type inclusions so most rough material are not suitable for step cuts which require very clean material to begin with because step cuts show everything.

sure..i will take some peridots...why?..''cause I am a stud..oh wait..wrong forum

Thanks for all the info. I did order them last night so hopefully they are very nice. I also opened up some dialogue with Doug from Bespoke regarding step cuts but I got to thinking about the lily pad thing. Has anyone commissioned old mine cut or old cushion cuts?
