Photographers in DC area?

I am looking for a photographer in the metro DC area, but having a ton of trouble finding someone I like who doesn''t cost $8,000 if I want an album and parents albums too! For any current or former DC metro area brides, do you have any suggestions? Even if they are expensive, are there any in the area you love?

Have you looked into photogs that travel?

I know that Susan Stripling is AMAAAAHHHHHZING.. and she is based out of Tallahassee, FL... she travels and her fee includes the travel I believe... I think her packages start at 4K... when I was looking at her.. her fee included travel, time and negatives. Not sure about the album part.. but her work is seriously drool worthy.. which would be fitting with that drool worthy dress that you found.. (BTW.. its GORGEOUS)

her site is www.susanstripling.com and she also has a blog... one bride on here (I cant remember who right now) had her do her engagement photos.. and they were stunning.

She also has instant message so you can chat with her over the internet if phone tag doesnt quite work out... I found that very convenient.

I have a wonderful photographer! I used him for my engagement pics and my wedding pictures as well. He lives in Washington DC. Wonderful guy. Super nice. He made everyone feel at ease. In fact you hardly noticed he was there but always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to get great shots! My engagement and wedding pics are on his website...

We''re using Bella Pictures. I loved their work, was impressed by their certification process for photographers, and had heard great things about them. It was good to hear that the album was included in the cost.

Another nice benefit was that our Bella rep was very helpful and even went out of her way to meet us closer to where we live. Plus, we got a 20% discount because we booked Marriott property for our Reception site.
