~~BTW, what is the difference between a Canadian diamond and a US Diamond??? Is there a difference??

Unfortunately, for most people, diamonds equal conflict and misery. In African countries such as Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone, the profits from unregulated diamond trade are used to obtain weapons and fund armed conflicts.

The advantage of Canadian Diamonds is that they are ethical diamonds... I also live in Canada so I wanted to support Canadian Diamonds... oh plus I just think they are beautiful....

I love the modern twist of your setting. It''s lovely! Congrats!

YAY for Canadian diamonds!!! i''m a fellow Canadian and i got a Can. rock too.
I looooove your setting! it''s so pretty. it makes your diamond look kinda like a flower from the top and the sides are beautiful. i also have a solitaire(princess). it also has a simple tapered band and i''d love a wedding band just like yours to go with it.
OOOH! Congrats!

~~One more question... did you get your diamond from the company "Canadia Diamonds"?? I had been to their website and they have the cutest shared prong eternity band with hearts on the side...

~P.S. To see the beautiful eternity band that I am referring to, click on "Classic Collection" and then at the top, click "Diamond Bands".

very pretty and feminine! congrats!

Congrats on your ring, i too love the setting..

and just to note Denverappraiser states in this thread that "Every stone legally imported into the United States must comply and you can be reasonably confident of the sources if you buy from a legitimate dealer. The US government and the diamond industry as a group are very serious about solving this problem and they’ve made tremendous progress." most if not all PS vendors are legitimate

ETA: I think it is very cool that you decided to support your own country and buy canadian and your diamond is very lovely
