Hello all!

We''re married!! and it was sincerely the best day of my life.

two days before the wedding, my maid of honor and I took a mini road trip from DC to Vermont in her hot, little red convertible VW beetle. we''ve taken some memorable trips in the past, so it was the absolute perfect way to spend some quality girl time leading up to the wedding. then my man and his brother, the best man, arrived that the same evening(flew in) so just the four of us got to have an excellent pre-hectic-wedding-guests-all-arriving-at-once evening.

the wedding itself was amazing. the weather fully cooperated which made me a very contented gal. the church ceremony was beautiful and the reception and gardens looked more lovely than i could have ever imagined. all of the friends and family that we love so much were able to make it up to VT and share the day and dance away the night.

of course there were a few hitches along the way -- like the fact that the reddish leather seat of antique rolls i drove to the church in left a rather large, rather reddish stain on the side of my dress -- but honestly, i couldn''t have cared less. all of the meaningful things happened and that was what mattered.

then our honeymoon. i still wish we were there. it was an amazing trip.

so, knowing that every good PSer likes a picture, i''m hoping that you''ll enjoy these my friends have been sending. hopefully, we''ll get the professional shots soon!

So glad it was so perfect for you! Congrats!

Now....pictures! pictures! pictures!

Where are they! I have been waiting for you to get back!
Hurray! You''re a wife now! You have a HUSBAND!

wow! that''s wonderful news! i am so thrilled that you had such a lovely wedding day. can''t wait for pics!

thanks all! sorry for the delay. i thought that i could have some posting time around lunch, but work interfered.

where was I

here is where we had our rehearsal dinner -- it was outside on a patio with the backdrop of the mountains. perfect. a laidback BBQ with hamburgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, and ice cream and apple pie

i fully intended to eat on my wedding day, so my tremendous bridesmaids set up this "sandwich buffet" in the room we were getting ready in! champagne and a turkey club = happiness

here''s one from the "waiting room" at the church. before the ride -- i was wrinkle and stain-free, after the ride -- well, i had that large red stain from the car and the entire front of my dress had huge wrinkles. oops.

well one BM had a hairdryer?? in her car and my MOH quickly got to getting out those wrinkles. the rest of my bridal party, including my mother, who incidentally just hours earlier had kindly ironed my dress -- thought this was hilarious. so did i, sort of.

i was able to hold off the nerves until right before the ceremony. then it was quite a mixture of being overwhelmed with emotions and really quite nervous after i saw all the people in the church --

congratulations! I''m glad to hear you had a wonderful wedding day. You looked beautiful. Can''t wait to see more pictures.

walking down the aisle with my handsome father. we both thought we were going to cry and i guess that why we look so darn serious -- trying to keep it together. some rude guest, a boyfriend of a friend i never met, said i looked both like a deer in headlights and that i was about to hyperventilate

fortunately, other guests were kinder

i have a couple more! some of the more regular and eagle-eyed PSers might have noticed i changed my dress. yup. here i was, formerly sitting in judgment of gals that bought multiple dresses -- and then i went and did the same thing. i love my original vera dress, but after it was all altered, i definately think that it was intended for a bride with less curves. i felt sort of conflicted about it for a week and then went ahead and got this little number off of ebay for a whopping $50. It fit so well, and just flowed over my curves instead of hugging them -- an overall better bridal look, i think --. A girl''s got to feel pretty on her wedding day...

here is another favorite. apparently, in ludlow, people make llamas and then sell them. the profit from any sale goes to beautifying the town (which is quite beautiful, so it must be working) anyway, my MOH and a couple BMs drove back to the reception in that afore mentioned hot, little red VW beetle and stopped along the way for an impromptu photo op with some local llamas

the reception was here

and it was gorgeous and sunny and green and lovely.

not a bad shot for an amateur:

the cocktail hour was held in and on the side patio of the house -- the tent was down in the garden

this is our not-so-grace-full exit from the rolls. on the way back, i made certain to sit on my MOH''s beachtowel to prevent further staining

we didn''t know what exactly we were supposed to do, so we got a little lost on the lawn

detail of the flowers on the table -- our florist was incredible and the nicest man.

our first dance "Maybe I''m Amazed" by mr. paul mccartney. such a pretty song, but we aren''t the prettiest of dancers. oh well.
