Hi all,

I just got back from a short vacation. I could write 1000 words, but I think this pic says it all. More to come.

Enjoy,

Tim

Where is that?

Scintillating...

WOW. That view is breathtaking! Is that even real? It seems surreal. OMG, it is sooooooo beautiful!!!

It looks like two pictures spliced together.

Where was it?

That is indeed an awesome picture, where is it from????

Mt. Baker?
My guess was Mt. Rainier.

Scintillating...

Definitely looks like WA doesn''t it? I used to live by Bellingham, and we could see Mt. Baker, but it was a different view from further away, but similar looking!

It''s so incredibly beautiful there in the summer, but the rain killed me! I like the year-round sunshine in So Ca so much more!

Looks like Mt. Ranier to me.....

I grew up in British Columbia, but in the Okanogan...on the other side of the mountains! The side without the rain...

I just spent 3 weeks there this summer, and I miss it so much already! You can''t beat the weather here and I love living right on the beach, but there are so many people, so much traffic....and I miss all the trees and greenery!

What a coincidence -- I grew up in Southern California -- Los Angeles to be exact. I love it up here. Bellingham was an absolutely wonderful place to live, but I started to miss living in a big city. Now I miss living in Bellingham. But Vancouver is great and I just love the Pacific Northwest as a region -- love the gray weather, the trees, the mountains, the water.

I know what you mean about the people and the traffic in SoCal. It was starting to drive me nuts when we left 2 years ago. But if you like year-round sunshine, that''s the place to be!

We still own a house in Wenatchee...over on the other side of the Cascades, but I don''t think we''ll go back to live there though. But, we won''t stay in California forever either! My parents are in BC...so I''d love to be somewhere in the Northwest, but I don''t know if I''d be able to talk my husband into it! He''s a Boston boy...and wants to go back East!

Oh well...we still have a few years before we have to decide where we''re going to go!

Glad you all liked the picture. You guessed it....taken from the top of the Bank of America Building in down town Seattle. Mt. Rainier.

Did you every go over to Wenatchee for the Apple Blossom Festival? Or up to Leavenworth...it''s so beautiful up there!

Lots and lots of fun...

Never got the apple festival....that is one my to do list along with the tulip festival. I spent a couple of minutes in levenworth just driving through....great town. I hope to call the greater Seattle area home at some time the future so mabey then I will get to knock some stuff off the list.

As promised....here are more pics.

Way out in nature...all of 25 minutes from downtown Seattle. Awesome, in NYC, I would still be in traffic.

Lunch at the top is a must...great food. Try the rare Ahi Tuna!

The home of Washington Mutual Bank...Great building.

Home of Bank of America....tallest building in Seattle, WA.

I love Seattle! Did you do the Pike''s Market thing? Everything is so green and beautiful, but the bad thing is that it has to rain like a bugger for it to be that lush! Summer is fantastic though...

is that a medium format camera - love your framing
