Ok I went to pick up my dress the other day. THese are pictures of it. It is a little too big on the top right now. I will get that altered, but luckily the length is perfect so that will save some money!!

It is an a-line dress. Do you guys have any advice on what sort of slip/crinoline thing you are supposed to wear underneath that? The dress has a built in poofy part in the back, but nothing in the front, and without something it looks flat in front.

In this picture I have a poofy thing underneath, but it was too short.

Also, what sort of bra would you wear with this.

I will now attach the back in next email, which I had lowered and added buttons all the way down. The ugly bra is ruining the back picture for now.

You look so pretty! Nice dress!!!!

To answer on question; I actually didn't wear a bra. I had enough support from the dress bones.

Looks great!

I have heard of people having cups sewn in if your dress already has boning. Otherwise, I liked those longline bras that they make you wear at some dress shops. The ones that hit at the hip, not the ones that end at the belly button. But it might not be a bad idea to try on a few with the dress and see which you like best.

It looks lovely on you! So shiny!

Mel- Is your dress a Marisa dress?? I ask because 1) I love it!

Mel,
You look fabulous in the dress!! Love it!!!

Wow! That dress is truly gorgeous and you look perfect in it.

what a stunningly classic dress!!! i didn''t wear a bra with my dress, because i had enough support from the boning and the bra was uncomfortable.(i hate strapless bras--they balways slide around)

Ditto, it''s so stunning!!! For a bra, I''d either skip it all together or get the style that includes shorts, waist cincher and a strapless bra. Those sort of keep everything in place, not that you need it since you are so skinny!

Thanks everyone! It is not a Marisa actually. It is a Justina McCaffrey.

:)

One more question

At the store, i tried on crinoline slips underneath. They were all bunched up and made huge lumps in my dress. Is there a slip for underneath an A-line dress. I think I have to wear something underneath because it looks so flat in the front if not. It will go between my legs I think when I walk!!

Any ideas on a-line crinolines that don''t make the dress look like a hoop skirt????

Beautiful - you look great in it!
