I’m in trouble! I’ve just set my blue zircon, and now I’m eyeing a pink one. What do you think about this zircon! It’s over 8 mm!!!:kiss2:

I know, a lot of you are going to recognize the picture, and know where this stone is from, but I trust you, not to buy this stone!;)2

It’s not an emerald cut so it’s safe from me! :P2 It looks like a nice color! Did you post your finished blue zircon ring?

Yes! I’ve posted it in Fabulous rings under 1250, and Acinom posted it in the Zircon Thread. I’m happy, it’s safe from you!

Haha even if it was an emerald cut I wouldn’t buy it out from anyone! I will go look for your other ring!

Looks great in this pic. Ask ‘him’ to hold it for you until you made up your mind.
Great size too!

Easy to set since it's a round! Although you did such a great job with your other setting no shape can challenge you!

I think it looks lovely, and it’s a great size! Oh no, wait, I shouldn’t enable you...
Oh, what an ugly stone! Yuck! Don’t buy it! :D

I think it’s lovely! That will be so easy to set. Don’t worry, I just bought a reddish one, so I’m good.;)2

Beautiful! It looks like one I bought recently, but haven't received. We can be gem twins!

So pretty and love the size...do you know what I am going to say next? It is simply Pinkalicious.:kiss2:

Ladies, the trouble was short lived. The stone is sold to someone else! :(2
Greetings to all the lurkers, the Buyer at least couldn’t say thank you!
And one more thing is official, I will never post any more stones, which I haven’t bought.

Oooh you poor thing! That stone's been around for a while so it must be a lurker. Normally the stuff he posts that goes will go in hours not hang around for a while. Suspicious that it went after you posted!

Oh no! That sucks! I was getting ready to enable you but someone else snatched it out from under you. I still think a pink zircon should be in your future. They are so pretty! Next time ask him to hold it for you before you post anything here. That way you can still get opinions, without risking it.

Seriously?! I was looking at his stuff last night and it was there. That is so awful! I wanted to be twinsies. :(2

He has a crazy gorgeous grey spinel now. But I don't have $8000+ sitting around...

:confused:Oh no!!! This is so annoying.
I hope you will find another pink zircon soon. Are you could ask the vendor to cut you one? Perhaps he has some of the same rough.
Indeed, do not post beautiful stones unless you have put them on hold. So sorry this happened to you

Oh man! So sorry. It is just so against the spirit of the forumsad :((. I hope you find a similarly awesome one soon!

That is so stinky and I’m sorry it happened. All I can say is that when I miss out on a gem for whatever reason I remind myself that it wasn’t meant for me and there will always be another stone! You will find one that is love at first sight!

I’m sorry that happened to you! Grrr!! I’ll bet he has more. Some people on here have actually visited his physical location and say he has tons of stuff. You should totally contact Jeff. He’s a nice guy and very responsive. I’m assuming it’s Jeff Davies based on the photography.

Ladies, thank you for your compassion! I too find it suspicious, that it has sold a few hours after I have posted it!

I contacted him, and he told me, he has more rough, and is going to cut more in the next few weeks. So I just have to be patient, and MY stone is going to pop up, and find to me! Thank you @Hivona

Yay!! So happy for you that there is more rough available. Looking forward to see the result. Have you requested the same dimensions as the first stone

Yay!! I’m so happy for you! You will get the perfect gem.

Oh yes... "the lurkers" always make sure you put the stone on hold or something first. Or if its just really danged expensive and out of your buget, encourage them to spend their money:lol:;-)

I have a couple of pink zircons. They can be extremely gorgeous. They can also shift and in full sun "black out" by no means is this a fault IMO, its just the nature of the beast.

I never would've thought to do this. Very smart! He'll probably have something fabulous for you!

Hopefully, the new pink zircon will be even prettier than the other one! I've not seen many many of them, so post pictures after you buy it :-)

I know this is an old thread but I am hoping you can still answer the question since you are an active member. I have had a few different colored stones set recently and I am having more fun with color lately although I don’t know a ton about gemstones. I was going to pick up a piece of pink zircon. I was talking to the rough seller and she had several large pieces in varying shades. I like this mauve sort of color without being too orange, too orange or too light pink. Is there a holy grail for pink zircon color? She said she thought a pinky/purple piece would work for a oval-ish finished stone in the 2-3 carat area.

This is what she thought the finished color would turn out to be In either oval or round. It is a little darker then I like and doesn’t look like the color in the attached pic. Thoughts? I am little worried about it being more brown then pink because it won’t work well with my skin tone.
