Planning update. :)

The good:
Got my dress, go for my second fitting on Saturday!
My mom sent me some really pretty strappy sandals that fit perfectly...
FI''s got his suit, and he looks HOT if I do say so myself.
He got some of the fake, cheesy, blingy, cufflinks in the shape of dollar signs to wear as a joke. Men.
I''ve been picking up sundresses here and there for our trip...
Mom''s at a different resort...and FI''s family booked at a different resort as well....YAY!!!!
We''re going to register on Saturday!
We switched to a 4pm ceremony so that it is more romantic on the beach.

The "could be better":
It''s been confirmed that FSIL isn''t going to make it to the wedding (she had her baby yesterday. I''m an auntie!)
Her husband (FI''s brother) is still coming, which we are greatful for but wonder if he''d rather be home with the baby.

Lots of people on FI''s side who were planning on coming, now aren''t. Which is actually a PRO, but instead now two of FFIL''s brothers and their wives and adult children are coming. None of whom I''ve ever met.

So the grand total of guests is thirteen, six of whom are complete strangers to me and FI hasn''t seen since he was in highschool almost 10 years ago. I just have to keep reminding myself to pick my battles. FI''s a little weird about it too, but we''ve decided to just drop it. At least I knew the other family members who were originally coming. ::sigh::. So much for an intimate affair with CLOSE friends and family. Okay, I''m over it. At least they all have their own resort.

Things I''m excited for:
Being married (duh!)
But before that....seeing the whole look put together...
Going for my hair consultation
Registering
Finding jewelry!!!


So that''s it for me. I can''t believe how fast time is flying!!!!!!!

Sounds good! That''s great that you got the resort thing sorted! It''s a pity that you won''t know all the people going to the ceremony but it''s nice that they want to go and see you guys get married, plus they have a separate resort so they won''t be around you all the time. It''s such a great feeling to know that all the big stuff is done and that nothing else I''m planning on doing is really "necessary" in order to have the wedding. It''s exciting!!

That''s so exciting Lucky! Congratulations on becoming an auntie! I still don''t understand why so many strangers are coming but at least everyone''s staying in a different resort. As you said, pick your battles, right?
