I have been looking for someone to make me a custom ring semi bezel setting in Toronto. Been having trouble finding someone that uses Iridium or Ruthenium. One person I asked advised me that only cobalt could be used. Is this true? I thought cobalt was used to keep expenses down?

"I do work with these metals but the are for fabricating and not
casting. The
ring in the picture is cast, therefore you need cobalt to help the flow
of
the metal in the mold."

I talked to her and she said that 5% ruthenium was no problem. And she does absolutely amazing bezels and semi-bezels.
