I’m having a bracelet made, think delicate dbty style chain, and trying to decide between white gold and platinum. I prefer the look and low maintenance of platinum, that’s what all my rings are, but have been advised that white gold is more durable for something I want to wear 24/7 and not take off. Curious if there are any opinions on this? Would the white gold have to be replated frequently? Would it look noticeably different to wear a white gold bracelet on the same hand as platinum rings? My main concern is durability, would love if anyone could weigh in!

Platinum isr pure and heavier than gold. It does not wear off and does not need polishing as much. It is also more expensive than gold because it is densier. Platinum scratches easier but that should not be problem with the bracelet. When platinum scratches, the metal is moved but not lost, unlike it is with gold - gold wears off. But then, I have never heard of a bracelet where gold wore off. Platinum is soft but more durable. It is also hypoallergenic metal, while gold is not. White gold needs to be re-plated, platinum does not.

It is really a matter of preference. I picked platinum for my bracelet because I like the durability and weight of it. Also, I know it would bother me to have a white gold bracelet re-plated, although some claim they do not have to do so. Still, for my piece of mind, that was one of the reasons I went with platinum.
