Hello all!
I posted a few weeks ago that I was moving into my bf's place, and now we have officially gone ring shopping.
Funny story is that this is the first official time I've been with my boyfriend shopping. I couldn't believe how much I liked different settings and stones that I would normally not be attracted to. We both have very similar taste and he agrees that I am unique and interesting at the same time, so that is what we are looking for.
So my top four choices are as follows, they are hard to picture without a picture, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what he ends up choosing. Please note that I will take either of these, so none of these are my official "#1" ring, but I am so indecisive, that I have to give him several choices! lol
So here we go:
#1 Choice - 1 ct Emerald cut, with two baguettes next to the center stone. It is an F, VS2. It's GIA cert and the polish and symmetry are either excellent or very good, since the diamond is just absolutely breath taking.
#2 Choice - Pave band with a 1.08 Princess cut H, VVS1. I would rather go for lower clarity, but the lady said we can change it. The side or basket of the ring also had pave and it was just breath taking. My one concern with this ring, which I have to look further into is I heard Pave is not as sturdy as other settings. I'll have to do more research on that.
#3 Choice - I never thought I would pick this ring, but something about it just stands out to me. It is a 1.25 Marquise J, vs2. It has pave mid-way, and two rows of yellow diamonds. I just love, love, love it!!!
#4 Choice - Now I wasn't thrilled with the center diamond of this ring, but the setting was just breath taking. It is a 1 ct center emerald cut, with two baguettes on the side, and then eight baguettes that go down the band. The ring has milgrim finish, and it has round diamonds on the side profiles. The setting is really hard to describe, but certainly beautiful.
I do not expect an engagement tomorrow, but we both know we want to be with each other. I am just curious to see what he decides to do!
