Sign outside of IDJ this am said they would be open, but there was no one open at all on 47th st. Very few stores at all open in NYC today. Had an email from David at DBL that he's hoping to be in on Tuesday and Winona of LJN was not sure if they would be open on Tuesday. Going to have to play it by ear! Thanks for thinking of me. I know, it seems so petty in the overall scheme of things.... Sent dougsgirl a text and haven't heard back. I,m hoping she is ok.yennyfire|1351548623|3295111 said:Maybe it's inappropriate to ask Enerchi, but I know you've been looking forward to your trip for quite a while... do you think the storm will impact the vendors you had planned to visit?
I'm outside of Atlanta, and so far, we've only had strong winds...enough to blow my scarecrows right out of the ground! If you're in the path of the storm, please stay safe!
I'm so glad to hear that you're okay!! I was thinking of you and praying all was well.Kaleigh|1351556747|3295251 said:Checking in... Lost power but got it back. Winds are howling and I cannot bare to watch the news any more. Too many horror stories for moi. AND I even got political robo calls... Like really??
Miss Charlie pants is eating a bone and is happy as a clam.. Gotta love that.
This storm took so much from so many and am so sorry.

I knew you were okay because of the other threads but pleased you checked in here too. Where are you? Is the worst of it still to come your way?Chrono|1351558817|3295297 said:The winds are just crazy outside and the sirens of 1st responders are busy all night.
There are multiple reports of flooding across the city due to the storm surge from Hurricane Sandy that is now upon the city. There have been reports of people trapped and cars floating in the middle of the streets. We've also received reports that many subway lines throughout the city have been flooded as well. The city has now issued a warning to all New Yorkers to go indoors immediately, stay away from windows, and remain indoors until further notice. We'll keep updating this post with more photos and reports from various areas where the flooding is happening.

I'm guessing the sudden quietness on the board means that explosion affected most of you
So we're just gonna wait till you get back to us and hope it won't be too long
Lovely to know - thanks MadeliseI reached Jon, he and his family are safe and wants to let PS know they will be back online Wednesday or Thursday.
Yes...sadly it's not always the things IN our control and people just appear oblivious to the warnings. However I'm pleased to hear that she was rescued.CharmedOne said:My aunt in NC had to be rescued. A tree fell on her house and she was trapped. People please evacuate if they tell you to. Please! Bless you all.
