Longtime Lurker, first time poster! I feel highly confident in all the professionals on this board and would appreciate their evaluation of this stone I am considering buying.

I do not have any pictures, just the below stats and the GIA report.

http://www.diamonds.net//UF/31449/Certs/2101358238.jpg

Carat Weight 1.03 ct
Cut (Shape) Princess
Color G
Clarity VS1
Report GIA
Report Number 2101358238
Cut Grade Excellent
Polish Very Good
Symmetry Very Good
Depth 70.1 %
Table 66 %
Measurements 5.61 x 5.58 x 3.91 mm
Length To Width 1.01 : 1
Girdle Sl. Thick - Thick
Culet None
Fluorescence None

I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to match the settings of this stone up against the "standards" for a very good cut that I have seen on this forum and others. Hopefully your evaluation will confirm that. (I know only so much can be told without pictures)

Also I was originally looking at color F (but could not find table and depth percentage that were good)so think I found one in G, so wondering if there will really be much of a difference to the naked eye to the whiteness of the color. Also would it be ok to set this stone with H color side stones or will that show the too much color in the H''s.

Thank you all so much in advance. Hoping to place an order ASAP as I am running out of time before my engagement.

Welcome!

It looks ok on paper but you obviously know we can''t tell much without images. I just wanted to mention concerning the '' excellent'' cut grade, AGS are currently the only lab who grade Princess for cut quality, so the use of such terms from anyone other than AGS labs to describe a diamond''s level of cut quality doesn''t mean anything.

GIA G colour in a Princess should still be plenty white and it should be fine to set with H colour side stones but make sure these are also reliably graded.

Thank you Lorelei. You are wonderful. I just found this one in color F.(which is what I was initially looking for)It is a VS2 (should I be worried), but according to the vendor its eye-clean and the GIA report does not show anything crazy.

Any opinions on this one?
