Please help me pick an emerald necklace

I saw one of these beaded emerald necklaces in a shop today and it was stunning! Of course they wanted $1300 for it!

So now I'm thinking of one of the necklaces on this site:

Is the $132 going to look insipid you think?

Should I go for the $270 one instead?

Also will the sterling silver clasp tarnish and look gross after a while?

I saw those at a gem show in September, but I remember seeing spinel, tourmaline and apatite. They were really pretty and did not look insipid at all. I think it’s really pretty.

The light one as well? I think the darker one looks great but am curious about the lighter one!

Do you know anything about silver in jewellery? Will it go brown and ugly? The clasp is sterling silver.

I’d go for the more expensive one. It takes a long time for tarnishing to get bad. Just polish it with a jeweler’s cloth once a month and you should be fine.

After a bunch of drama that involved consulting my 5yo son and my husband, I ordered it!

You see I found this:

and I really liked it but I wasn't sure because I haven't seen any Tsavs in real life. Hubby thought the emerald one looked a bit "hippy dippy" and preferred this one but I have an emerald ring that just glows sometimes so in the end I felt like I *had* to know what the emerald was like!

I also ordered a cheap n cheerful red spinel necklace!


Anyways thought I'd update you since you've been so helpful with this!

REALLY want the tsav necklace as well *cries*

Those are just beautiful!! I like be the red spinel necklace as well. I did not see a spinel necklace that beautiful at the gem show. I think it’s great that you got your 5 year old son’s opinion as well! Well done. Wear them in good health!

It arrived!!!! I love it! But it's hard for me not to love green!
