Please Help me pick between these two emeralds

I’m shopping for oval cut emerald for a rhr, and have these two options.

1.46 emerald with GIA report

And the second option.
2.57 Oval with GIA report

Second one is too light, too shallow and badly windowed.
First one is a tad shallow too but better than the second emerald.

Hmm, can you ask for more emeralds to look at? Yeah I agree the first one is better but neither are really that ideal. If you are okay with clarity enhanced as these two stones are, you should have lots of options.

The seller claims it’s just oil, nothing major. I think I’ll keep looking

I would skip all because they’re Zambian, and get a tsavorite instead. I took one look and instantly could tell they were Zambian. I’m not a fan of emeralds from there. They often look more like green tourmaline than emerald that I perceive it to be. No glow.

As much as I like JA for diamonds, they are not my go-to for CS. Oddly enough, I'm not seeing the usual emerald recommended vendors in the PS Recommended Vendors list.
