Hello-
first time on the forum. could someone please tell me what they think of this diamond??

http://www.whiteflash.com/round/Round-cut-diamond-101072.htm

it''s right in my price range but im a little concerned about the clarity (si2) it gets a good rating from whiteflash and the GIA, Sarin and idealscope look good. I just need second opinion. Please help im a total rookie!!

Actually, that is not a stone that WF has in-house. That means they can't look at it for you without calling it in, which means paying to have it shipped to them and back, if you don't buy it. Some vendors charge you to do this, but I am not sure about the WF policy on it. It is a LOT easier to search for diamonds that the vendor has in-house. And you'll know it is in-house because the certificate and pictures will be posted, except on newly arriving stones which aren't up yet.

ETA: That stone doesn't have an idealscope, Sarin, or cert. Did you give the right link?

whitflash had it shipped in for me, thats how i got the sarin and idealscope report. I just want some other opinions on the stone because i really am very green in the world of diamonds. It''s a big rock for the price but obviously the trade off is the clarity. the dealer said that most of the inclusions could be covered up with the prongs from th settting. is this a good trade off??? thank you for replying.

Let me ask you this, will it bother you if you can see inclusions? as you said "most" could be covered with prongs...

Oh, I see. Well, unless you post the idealscope and the plot of the inclusions and a magnified photo, I''m not sure we could give you an opinion. You have to be very careful with SI2''s since they can have visible inclusions (or they can be fine).
