I would think the inclusions could be the big unknown limiting factor.

Hi guys!

I was also wondering should I improve it in the future and recut it?
Would recutting it improve the value or it’s not necessary ?
The estimate I got from Southwest diamond Based on the measurements from the certificate the weight from 6.44ct will go to a 6.05cts excellent cut

And got a estimate from Brian Gavin
“On his recommended ideal proportions that we abide by here..
Unfortunately, due to the way the weight is proportined currently in your diamond, there is not a way to maintain the 6 carat total weight. He predicts it will be closer to 5.8 carats, so there is a chance it will be under this. We can't guarantee anything until the stone is done, and has left the cutting wheel.”
So it’ll be around 5.8-5.7ct for ideal

It is still very sparkly and has fire

what do you guys think the best thing to do?

So you could have a 5.8 ct Brian Gavin Ideal cut - wow !!

I just wonder if this natural on would be an issue for the recut.

Due to the inclusion plot, I doesn’t seem like a recut would change the clarity grade.

Personally, I wouldn’t want to reduce the face up mm:lol:

Thank you so much for all your advices!!

I do love the face up look of it now 12.24mm and I love the fact that it’s looks larger than 6.44ct
The 5.7ct will be around 11.6mm ?
I feel like I would prefer to stay over 6ct

My 3.33ct is H&A ideal cut and comparing them I do see the difference mostly on the photos or at the jeweler store or with that same kind of lighting ..
in person both are very firey but little different
Really like the idea of enjoying it for a while and then see how I’ll feel then ..

Your stone has a great face up-almost the same as my 7.6 ct oec. Definitely play around on diamdb.com before you decide!

Update
I received it and at a jeweler now
It is AMAZING, GORGEOUS and HAS SO MUCH SPARKLE :kiss2:
I’m so happy can’t see inclusions , color is white and sooooo sparkly
I’m in love!
I don’t need to recut it at all
I’ll post pictures when I’ll get it back

May I ask what is giving you second thoughts about a recut?

..knowing that it’s not excellent or ideal cut on the back of my mind I was thinking that it can be better
I do love my beauty and I am very happy and so lucky
But was just wondering what would be the best for the future

The way I see it, a recut is possible no matter how far down the line you get one. There’s no hurry to get one today.

If you yourself prefer the look of an ideal cut and would be ok to sacrifice spread and (possibly) inherent value to do so - by all means, go ahead.

If your reasoning to get a recut is to make it more saleable for the future, I would hold off. If ever you were to want to sell this, and you don’t get any takers at it’s current proportions, you can recut then.

It all depends on what you feel about the stone after you’ve had a chance to live with it. It’s also a really personal decision. I would definitely give it time to decide. But potentially sacrificing ~0.6mm is A LOT of spread. I would really think about this. If you can buy a CZ that is ~11.6mm round I would do that and wear it around for a while. See if you can live with the reduced spread before you cut it.

Thank you so much for all your comments suggestions and advices !
I am definitely thinking to enjoy it’s beauty the way it is without recutting :love:

I would also look at a new site called www.yourdiamondguys.com. It’s an AI website that scans inclusions and weeds out the bad ones automatically so you only see top cut with nice imperfections. Also has TONS of information.
