Please pray for my kitty

I''ve never posted anything like this, but I am a firm believer that positive thoughts can help. My cat Miku (mee-koo) had been losing a lot of weight over the past few months. We took her to the vet and they did some blood tests, and narrowed it down to either diabetes or leukemia. They gave us some stuff to read over and suggested that we come back in for another test to rule out leukemia. We brought her home and she was still eating normally until today. She didnt eat breakfast this morning and pretty much just layed in the same spot all day. So my husband takes her into the vet and they give him some strips to test the ketone levels. We test it and it turns dark pink (its supposed to stay a light pink color) so we call the vet and he told us to get her to the emergency vet right away to have her tested and monitired. The emergency vet tells us she has ketoacidosis and needs to stay there until probably Monday morning. I guss I just wanted to ask for some positive thoughts and prayers. Thank You

Your kitty is so beautiful poor little things my thoughts and prayers are with her, I hate seeing animals sick.

At the very least they know what is wrong and they can then apply approbate treatments, I hope she gets better soon

I know how gut wrenching this is for you. My thoughts and prayers will be of your Miku and for you. Allow yourself to have some comfort knowing she is getting the care she needs. She is getting fluids, and electrolytes, and probably insulin to help replenish what she is lacking. These are all beyond your ability...those caring for your Miku will do everything they can to care and comfort her while you are separated. She is in good hands...of people dedicated in their field to help your Miku.

You just focus on Monday and know we are all praying for a positive report.

She is gorgeous! I hope she is okay. Neither is a good thing, but is it better she has the diabetes? I know at least there are things you can do, but have not cats and am not too sure. I have a dog and I love her so I can imagine how scary it is to not know if she is okay. Prayers to both of you...

I am very sorry for your loss, Kristine. By way of acknowledging the depth of that loss, I can only say that I have been there. It is not always something about which one can post. At least I couldn''t. The loss is beyond words. Other people who have adored their animals, have lived through this pain, can understand without your having to say anything more. We are with you in spirit.
