It snows a only a few times all winter in my part of the state(Albuquerque). And it usually melts as soon as it hits the ground.
In the higher altitudes they get lots of snow, like around Santa Fe and areas closer to Colorado.

What a nice thread! The top one is a beach pic I took when we went razor clam digging and the second is one I took when we went to pick out a Christmas tree in our national forest (it’s permitted). All in WA.

Hubs & I went for a stroll around a local botanical garden/park yesterday, and I snapped a couple pics of these fellas. I could sit and watch them for hours ... very soothing and entertaining.

A photo that my best friend took while we were unloading an emergency supply delivery to a town fighting bushfires (yours truly in the orange shirt). That's just one of so many blazes we've had, apparently the moment the town's people see the actual flames from here is the time to ring the evacuation bell as the whole town will most probably be levelled.

Luckily they've had some rain and it's helped to get this blaze under control. But bushfire season isn't over yet.

The photo isnt that great but our Australian lilly pilly is in full bloom right now and with no wind it is humming with thousands of bees
we don't have aggressive beee here and there are also some bumbles and thankfully no wasps
its a bit unnerving standing under it so i mostly watch it out the kitchen window

I love bees. I respect them and stay away from them but I do love them.
