I just threw that away.
I have an Octavia now.

Sorry I'm so slow taking pics.
I'm manipulating macro equipment, bellows, aperture release cords, dirty diamond, flower pollen, centering the diamond while squinting in the sun, balance of direct and reflected light and colors, movement in the wind during 3 second exposures, desire to balance warm and cool colors, etc.

Okay, here's one that may be good enough to post, at least for a first try.

The last one only took two hours.
If I was working as a photographer I'd be so fired.

FYI, the camera set up.
The 105mm macro lens has a very long focusing distance so it is not right against the diamond.
That lets lots of light in compared to the 60mm macro lenses which has to be almost touching the diamond to focus at the highest enlargement.
This makes that dark obstruction less of a problem.

The bellows moves the lens away from the body for even more magnification and allows a continuous change of magnification.
Then the bottom knob allows the whole system to slide back and forth on the rail to focus without changing the magnification!

Holy crap. Both the diamond and the camera are impressive. But you can''t wear a camera on your hand. That stone is breath taking. I am soooo jealous. Perhaps you could adopt me? I will break in that Octavia for you, I could tell you when not to look at so as not blind yourself. I could visit your favorite restaurants and stores and tell you where to go for best Ocatavia viewing. Heck, I will be your personal diamond cleaner if that sweetens the deal.

I see that you''re adopting one gal and marrying another, but I don''t yet see your requirement for an extra grandmother

. I''m currently available even though I must confess that a while back, I offered my services to Diamondfan as a replacement mother-in-law. Her current one, it seemed, was a little cranky
