I am sure this is a common feeling here - I love wearing so many of these stones together but feel it is too blingy/ostentatious. I used to wear silver rings on all of my fingers as a teen - why can't I be so confident now? Does this look like too much and what would you wear the Mahenge sunflower ring with in terms of other rings? Please post pics of how you like to see your hands.

Don't tell anyone, but I'm a bit crazy :shhh: :loopy:

I wear AT LEAST six rings at one time, and I even stack some. I actually get tons of compliments, but I think many people secretly think it's ostentatious, but are too nice to tell me. I wear them more for me than for what people think though. You appear to have some smaller stones around one carat in size, so I don't personally think it looks ostentatious on you. Try wearing three six carat each stones on one hand, and then some stackers with them.

I don't have many rings now. I used to wear rings on both ring, middle and index fingers. I liked it. Both sets of fingers are close to the same size so I could switch them between hands. I never had any big rings..they were usually thin or thick bands, with and w/out small stones, a pearl ring my parents gave me, things like that. They all went together nicely..and I mixed metals too. Still do. I wore smaller things on my index fingers-I have a thin round/bag band now-but that's just my own personal taste, and for comfort so I'm not ramming it on something or myself in the face w/it.

If you like it and it's comfortable for you, pile 'em on how you want I say!

This is not too far from how my hand normally looks with my rings on. I just wear smaller carat weight rings with the larger ones, as stackers. So, I wouldn't wear the emerald ring on the right with the tsavorite heart because they're both big rings. As for the moonstone ring on the left, I usually wear with just the platinum band since it's a huge ring. I also just try to make sure I don't rub the bands together on adjacent fingers. The spessartite ring I would wear on its own in the middle, as it's also pretty big (4 carats). I took this photo just for eye candy purposes.

I told you I was crazy.

Holy Cow TL! Gorgeous and a bit crazy. I love all of them, especially the moonstone. That really helped and I shall go forth and wear my rings proudly. Life is too short to be self-conscious. I am also going to be less matchy with my rings (like red with red).Thank you!

Thanks, it's nuts, but I loved colored stones so much, I can't take it that I can't enjoy many at the same time. I look at them often, and for me, they're pure entertainment, not just something fashionable that people like to wear to match an outfit.

Beauties, TL!! Go hard or go home. :D

I only wear rings on my ring fingers, mostly out of caution. I don't want any to rub together (and have the diamonds on one ring scratch a softer stone on another, if they spin at all), and I'm used to being careful with my ring fingers. I think if you like multiple rings and won't damage each other, and you're not clumsy like I am, go for it!

I totally get it. They are mood lifters for me, little reminders. I don't match them with outfits but with each other. I am starting to put different colours together. Yours look awesome! I am saving that pic for inspiration.

NKOTB I usually wear rings on my ring and index fingers so there is no rubbing. I am really leaning towards three together though so I have to get used to that rubby feeling. I am very careful with soft/hard stone mixes. I need to get more set! :)

 @ TL's rings, especially the emerald in a ballerina setting!!!

I only wear one ring per hand; may wear stackers when I have them so that I can wear multiple colours.

DK :))

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

This is a terrible picture of the two rings I just love, taken during the evening setting sun (that's why the picture is so dim), but I have a six carat spessartite and it faces up almost identically to my heart shaped 4 carat merelani mint garnet. Spessartites are very dense stones, so large sizes face up small for their carat weight. I almost wish I made one ring out of the two of them since the mint green and orange compliment each other so well, and they face up with a similar shape (heart and trillion). I have lots of multi-stone rings now because I love looking at so many colors all the time.

If I could wear this as one ring, instead of stacked like they are now, I would. I don't wear them stacked, but I love how they look together, so I often wear the tsavorite on the forefinger and the spess on the middle finger next to it.

The ring in the middle is a green and pink diamond ring.

The other two pink rings are my Nigerian rubellite tourmalines from Bob Kast. I love love love these stones so much, and I often stack them together because the one on top is small (for me). It's like 1.2 carats. The one on the bottom I think is 2.5 carat (9mm).

TL, I especially love your moonstone, and how you set your emerald. What are the face up dimensions of your moonstone, and what is your finger size?

TL, that 9 mm rubellite...Good lord...

Not to mention the Paraiba...

The moonstone is around 4.5 carats, I forget the face up size though, but it's a high cabochon. Thanks!! My finger size is an 8, but I was swollen that day (hot weather).

Thanks NKOTB, both are pretty included though. The little 1.2 carat rubellite is actually very clean, and some people mistake it for a ruby.

Loving the rubellite stack TL, that is fabulous

Thanks, TL. I just got an oval moonstone of my own (11.5 x 7 mm) and am trying to figure out proportions.

TL, if I had rings like those I'd wear them just as pictured. Every day. Forever.
You're not nuts. You're brilliant!

TL I love your ring collection and the way you wear them together! I'm like DK - I usually wear only one per hand with the exception of my collection of inexpensive Pandora stackers which I wear in various combinations. I have a few dainty gemstone rings that I love wearing by themselves although I'd like a few plain YG and RG rings to stack with them.

I love the second configuration with 3 rings side by side on different fingers! Stunning!

No pics???

Thanks everyone again for the kind words. :-)

Ricezo, very nice rings, and you should be a hand model. I love your long slim fingers.

Gorgeous hands and rings ricezo! What a nice compliment too - I will start to wear three per hand more often. Getting back to my roots - Woohoo!

Pregcurious I love your moonstone. Gorgeous

Thanks Gem Queen, but it is TLs moonstone. She has good taste, eh?

TL I have been so inspired by you that I wore 5 today! It felt great.
I am working on the white gold hand though - I can't seem to do more than two for that one.

Ha ha! Looks great on you. Isn't it fun? The only thing is that I wear the middle ring a little higher than the ones ones adjacent, so they don't rub bands. You could also get some thin gold or silver bands to stack on top of some, and the smaller ring in the middle could be used as a stacker, so you would have more fingers free for other rings. Since we're all born with only ten fingers, I make use of as much real estate as I can. ;)

One ring per hand. Anything more than that would most certainly cause my grandmother to roll in her WASP grave. I think you should wear what you like, but if you're asking for opinion, any more than that is quite tacky.

I think the way I wear them can be ostentatious & tacky, but I generally don't care what people think in that regard. To me, your rings look lovely on you (I love the matching shapes and themes of your rings), and it depends on if you really care what people think. I tend to dress very simply, solid colors, and simple patterns, so the only thing tacky on me is my rings. But even then, if I chose to dress like Dame Edna, it wouldn't matter to me. It's a frame of mind.

I am a one ring per hand person but you should do whatever feels comfortable to you. Life's too short to be concerned about other people thinking it is tacky.

My comment sounded more judgemental than I would have liked... I do feel that way, but I also very strongly believe in wearing what you like regardless of the opinion of others!

tacky I am then although I wear fewer rings on both hands than I did years ago......most people ask me if i'm an artist because my pieces are unusual and large. and which ring people admire tells me a lot about that person.

spess in 22k gold with 18k 2mm wedding band on left hand now accompanied by a large silver with 22k gold accent and pearl ring on index finger of left hand.
right hand has 18k Italian gold ring which is really two rings in one and middle finger is a very large smokey moonstone set in silver.
