#JOTW Post your Cartier jewels/rings/watches!

I have a thin Love and would definitely not describe it as "flimsy." The thickness is the same as the regular Love. The closure is sturdy to me. Actually, sturdier than the regular Love given that the regular Love often has issues with screws (they do unscrew a lot) and people end up losing the bracelet. Even on resale sites I often see people selling just one half of the bracelet. It does not happen to everyone but it does happen. I have been wearing my small one since Christmas and there is not a single thing that is flimsy about it. And I owned both, sold the regular one.

Ooh, thank you SO much for this information. I shall put the thin back on the table, as it was the one I initially thought I would like the most. I am heading to London in a couple of weeks to try on ALL the bangles :kiss2:

What are your thoughts on the thin Love vs the regular Love?

Here's a pic of me wearing both versions. I don't have them anymore. I'd say though I prefer the regular. The thin was not substantial enough. BUT the opening and closing mechanism made it more wearable. I couldn't stand having the Love on 24/7 and every time I put it on and took it off, it was a hassle. So as much as love(d) the Love, I got rid of it.

Would you be wearing yours 24/7?

Oh, mine were both size 16. They were a tad big for me (I have children's wrists), but I didn't mind. My pave Love is also a size 16. 15 fits just right but I don't like having my bracelets fit too snugly.

Ugh Phoenix! This is me... You know I have had a long love affair with Cartier. My Love bangle history below...

First - 2 thins
Second - 2 thins 1 classic
Third - 1 thin 1 classic
Fourth - 2 classics
Fifth - 1 classic 1 thin
Sixth and final love combo 2 thins!!! lol

All to say I love the Classic but could not deal with 24/7. I love the thins too and oddly can wear them 24/7 and do most of the time. I really think it is due to KNOWING I can take them off quickly at anytime for any reason.

I did lose money during this exploration. I will say that they were different iterations so not completely a waste in terms of the experience.

I'm thinking of getting this bracelet....thoughts?? It's 150k USD. Is it worth it?

It was stunning in person but I'm uncertain if it's the piece I want to drop 150k on. IMG_1006.jpg

On most people, I'd say no. But for you, I'd say yes!! It'd add to an already amazing collection.

Cartier pave Love with ceramic and WG. I have actually had this for several years now and am still loving it like the day I bought it.

This is one of my favorite threads on PS, and now I finally have something (little) to post! A little bummed I didn’t get to purchase in store, but I’ll save that for my next piece :D

I love this little band so much, and thanks to everyone who chimed in with sizing input!

I was also able to try on this amazing emerald ring…the color was to die for! :kiss2: I told my husband the price and he said “that’s a brand new Porsche…a nicer 911 GT”

I’m obsessed with the JUC bracelet. Is it comfortable?
Thank you! This is the small version so it’s much lighter and thinner than the original. It’s very comfortable because it’s so lightweight!

So I had sinus surgery yesterday (my second one, really would not recommend if you can avoid it). Surgery went fine and I am recovering with the help of a wonderfully supportive hubby and kids.

However, I was not prepared for them to make me cut off my cute little zapped on bracelet. It wasn’t huge, but it was hugely sentimental, and the only way it could be removed was with a pair of scissors.

So now I am thinking about how to replace it. I suppose I could get it zapped back on (we cut it at the soldering link). OR, I’m wondering if a better choice in the future would be a small Love. So that it’s permanent but semi-permanent and can be removed for surgery, MRIs, etc without destroying the bracelet.

Thoughts? I will freely admit that I have not been the biggest Love fan in the past b/c the chastity belt symbolism really gives me the icks. But I appreciate that it is classic and people say comfortable.

Things I adored about my zapped on bracelet: my daughter and I got them together and it felt sentimental for that reason. She’s still young enough that I cannot see giving her a Love bracelet. I also really liked that it was yellow gold. I don’t wear much yellow gold, and I liked the small addition of it.

This was me trying a small Love.

I think its a classic and you really can't go wrong with classics. I'm really struck by the diamond JUC in this pic, its delicious!

Slightly off topic but I am also due for a sinus procedure in January, the balloon for my forehead sinuses and turbinate reduction. Is that similar to what you had? I'm hesitant, but I guess this is my last option for relief...

Thank you! Yes, the diamond JUC has become (as @yssie put it) the anchor of my arm stack. I wear it daily and LOVE it. Would highly recommend!

As to sinus surgery, I’ve had two. None were balloon. They were all endoscopic. My first one also involved fixing a deviated septum and a turbinate reduction. Unfortunately, this one was needed because scar tissue formed and my turbinates scarred to my nasal wall and prevented my sinuses from draining. I don’t think it’s a super common complication but it does happen.

I had significant relief after the first surgery but recovery took much longer than I thought. So far this one is easier. Makes me think the septum part was the part that was the difficult recovery.

Good luck to you and I hope yours goes smoothly!

I hope your recovery goes well!

It’s the regular. I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of bending the small over and over. I’ve seen too many T wire bangles that are misshapen. Also wanted to be able to wear my JUC alone as well as stacked, and I really like the size of the regular for that.

My husband and I decided to reward ourselves for enduring a *very* full-on year. We both got some top-of-the-wishlist items: a grand piano for him, and a Cartier Love bracelet for me! I had originally thought this would be a 50th present, so I'm thrilled to have an extra (almost) decade to wear it.

I originally got the thin; it had been the version I had tried on multiple times over the last few years in-store. It was one of those 'angels singing' moments every time they locked it on me. But then, as soon as I got it home, I felt...underwhelmed. It looked more like a bracelet that needed friends, and I didn't want to stack all the time.

I had never tried on the original size, so I went back and tried it. Choir of angels singing! Proportionally, I wonder if it's a better size because I'm tall. Perspective-wise, I like that I can see the lock motifs on the original (trickier with the smaller size of the thin motifs). I swapped the thin for the original, and that's my long story done with a very happy ending.

@ArielleB Good for you and hubs. Honestly, staying sane is half the battle! And congratulations on your beautiful celebration piece - I like the regular size better on you too ::)

I love the combo with the Trinity Ring. Just for reference - is it the Trinity Classic or small?

It’s the small. It stacks so beautifully; I’m wearing it a lot with that black diamond eternity band. I did try a love ring with it when I was in store, and now one of those is on my wishlist!

Pretty DBTY bracelet too!

I’ve been very fickle about what I wanted for my “one band to rule them all” - and I finally settled on the 1895 band from Cartier.

I got the yellow gold in 3.5mm, and it’s the perfect lush weight, shape and color. I don’t know why I hesitated. It feels like liquid on my hand. My husband got the 5mm, and he arranged it as a birthday gift.

For perspective, I got the size 58 (8.25 us)

This isn’t the biggest purchase, but an important one!

I also became smitten with the juste un clou necklace and the Cartier tank.

I tried on the Tank, Panthere, Ballon Bleu and Ronde, and was shocked that the medium tank was my favorite!

I’m hesitant to covet a quartz watch at the price point, so, not totally sure…I also love the IWC Portugieser which is a totally different look…it’ll probably take years and a special anniversary for me to find land on “my watch” - I don’t really aspire to own multiple
