I have been inspired by cinnamon013 quest for a gemstone RHR.
I went into Tiffany''s the other day and tried on the Legacy ring with the centre stone an aquamarine. It was stunning and I want to do somthing similar for my big 50 coming up at the end of the year.
I adore green stones and yellow and gold but am also partial to blue. While we at it purple is beautiful and wait pink would be nice.........
Anyhoo any thoughts or suggestions. If I win the lotto I would be hop footing it straght to Leon but alas my numbers have not come up.
I can''t post pictures or find any of the Tiffany one but hopefully you know what I mean.
So if anyone wants to chime in that woould be good

I tried those on a couple of weeks ago, too! They are soooo gorgeous! My idea is to have Maytal make the setting for me if I can ever locate the right stone. I love all the colors, but sapphire is my favorite stone, so mine will be some color of sapphire if I ever do it!

The legacy is beautiful :) I did not like it on the web but in person ahhhh *pitter patter* bestill my beating heart :)

I personally think a legacy with either a red spinel or a ruby would be heart stopping breathtakingly beautiful or even a tsvorite :)

I would love to to a ruby legacy like RHR for myself in the future :)

Here is the photo of the Tiffany legacy''s I had it saved on email :)

No worries :) I think it was Bee who originally posted the picture and I sent it to a work colleague :)

HAHHA thats the exact one I tried on as well I think the center was approx .50cts it was really quite beautiful :) they did have an emerald one as well it was

in the front case as you enter from the plaza entrance but they moved it I don''t know if it is still in store :), I agree the yellow one is UBER stunning :)

There is a tiffany''s down in surfers (I found it by accident) as well it is smaller but they may have another legacy for you to try on :) I would likely call ahead though.

Lol, Deelight, I like what you named your picture file. And I agree.....PURDIE!!!

I'm probably nuts, as I know it's probably not hard enough - but I think a gorgeous sphene (preferably one of the deeper greenish ones) would look amazing in that setting.

I admit I'm rather obsessed with them right now

Thanks pandora II but I do want something that can stand a bit of wear and tear even though it would not be an everyday ring.
It worries me about the aquamarine already having wear so i probably need to go a little harder.
I think I am leaning towards a yellow sapphire or even a green but I think theay are very rare.
Does anyone know what the yellow stone is in the Tiffany picture?

I see orange (spessartite?), not yellow (citrine?).

If you love all those colors...well, you have some finger real estate vacant I presume?

I would go with what you adore and also think about your clothes and what you tend to wear. Tough choice but they are all stunning.

The Legacy cut does wonders for colored stones. I wish T & Co would put rubies and emeralds into a Legacy setting - I wonder why they haven't done it yet?

Well the thing is I adore all of them and have a wardrobe full of color lol!
I told my DH last night we were out to dinner before seeing Suzanne Vega (Who was awesome) and he paused gulped and said "what ring you just got one". Poor deluded foot he just does''nt get it

How exciting that you are planning a fun project for your bday!!! I love blue stones; they seem so classic to me.

7-7.5. Not quite an everyday stone. Take it from someone who just chipped an 8.

They do make a pink sapphire legacy and I''ve seen a green tourmaline one at a local tiffany''s as well.

i think sapphire blue or ruby red would look very nice in a legacy style setting also

Harriet diagnosed it correctly, it is spessartite and they want $12.4K.

Does seems pretty soft for a RHR though.
