Preggo stuff, Baby Stuff, Toddler Stuff...post your best finds here!!

MrsS, I have been using those since T started eating table food. I LOVE them! Restaurant tables are nasty.

Plus it makes it easier to clean up. I keep some in my diaper bag.

Burk, T will LOVE it. It is a really cool puzzle and helps with numbers and colors as well.

janine, I heart Melissa and Doug toys.

Curly, that was my FIRST thought too. My mom sent it. But then I figured oh well. It is good problem solving and we don''t have any furniture or doors that have these types of latches anyways.

fiery, the age range says 36 months + so I think it would be perfect for a 3 year old! I think she said she got it at Borders or Barnes and Noble and they were having a buy one get one 50% off for M&D puzzles so T also got the ''paper doll'' that is actually a magnet and the clothes/shoes are magnets. She likes it but she is too young to really get it.
Thanks Tacori! I''m going to check out BN to see if they have it.

Toddler mamas this is a new favorite. She is OBSESSED!

LOL....they had those at J''s daycare and the kids do go crazy over them.
Make sure to put them away or not have to many scattered around as those hardwares are not fall-friendly.
One of the kid trip and fell on it and cut her knee.

Janine--
C is old enough to play w/ it.
They actually had it in J''s class last year for the 6 months to 1.5 yr olds.

Oh good point! She hurts herself all the time. Her newest thing is I HAVE to kiss her bruises. She points when out and then I when I ask her if mommy made it feel better she pathetically nods. Drama queen.

there''s a rare coupon for Ergo carriers and associated products on babycheapskate right now...free shipping too! i just used it...apparently this doesn''t happen too often get on it if you''re considering it!

wow! Quinny Buzz is on sale at Albeebaby, almost half price. Does anyone know the differencw between Buzz3 and Buzz4??

I have a Phil& teds stroller but I havent used it much.

He has a Maxi Cosi carseat and sometimes I wish I had a strller that it would fit on. Whick one would be better, 3 or 4?

Buzz3 has 3 wheels and Buzz4 has four.

Qtiekiki, don''t you have one? Which one do you have? I see a lot of people complaining in reviews that the front wheel sticks. I wonder if that means they have the Buzz3.

Hi Ladies.

Any recs on a rear facing convertible car seat?

I''m sure it has been discussed before. I wish these threads had a search function

fiery - we have a Safety 1st big convertable one in my car, I don''t remember exactly which model, but it goes for around $80, and seems really nice for the price. For cars that aren''t used as much, the Cosco Scerena is great, I found one for $30 on Overstock a few months back. There''s not much to them, but the price and sfaety rating on it are great.

Fiery - we have the Britax Roundabout and I like it a lot. It''s the smallest Britax so it fits well in our car.

Thanks ladies!

Yes, a search function would be handy!

We have Britax Diplomat which is the Roundabout plus some extra padding. I really like it except that the straps can get twisted. Other than that it''s great. I thought about the Boulevard but I''m glad I didn''t get it because I think it would not have fit well in my car. For DH''s car we have the Maxi Cosi Priori. I like it too, but I haven''t used it as much as the Britax. So far so good on that one though. I think it''s a little harder to get him strapped in, but that may be because I''m not as used to it.

I found both on albee baby on good sales.

Question - what do you all think of shopping cart covers? Worth it? Pain in the butt? If you like yours, what kind is it?

Fiery, we have 2 Maxi Cosi Priori''s and like them a lot. There are a few other moms who have them too and really like them. Good safety ratings and great colors what is not to like right?

On shopping cart covers, we didn''t use one until Kyle decided he likes to suck on the back of the seat
20.gif
. A family friend gave me her old one, which I think is similar to this one http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=6457352 It''s not near as bulky as some I''ve seen, and it uses the seat belt that is already on the cart. It doesn''t cover the sides of the cart, but then I only use it because I don''t want him sucking on the handle and the back, not becasue I''m worried about him touching the cart.

Fiery - We have a Sunshine Kids Radian65 and a Britax Roundabout. I really like the Britax, which fits really well in a smaller car, although it does seem like he'll hit the height limit much sooner than in the other seat. I personally find the Radian a bit of a PITA to get him in and out of. But DH liked it (it's in his car), it's highly rated, and can be used forever (i.e. until he's 65 lbs

).

Cart covers - we don't have one and I don't see the need for one (yet). The stores that we usually go to have wet wipes so that you can wipe down the parts of the cart they may suck on, although he's currently more interested in trying to grab stuff out of the cart and throw it on the floor so I don't bother.

ETA
Search function
- google "convertible car seat site:pricescope.com/idealbb" (or substitute in your own search terms). That takes you to the specific page, whereas the site search function here just finds the thread.

I use the itzy ritzy cart covers. They are more luxurious and I use ours all the time, even though I''m not paranoid about germs. I like it because it makes the seat more comfy for her, and I use them on high chairs too.

http://www.itzyritzy.com/shop.php?p=1

They also make them (or used to) under the brand name "Cuter than a duck''s butt."

Sunkist
We have the Buzz3. Back when we got the stroller, I don’t think they had the Buzz4 in the US yet. We never had a problem with the front wheel sticking. For the year and a half that we’ve been using it, we really like it. The tire back wheels had been great on all kinds of surface so far. I guess the only thing is that the back wheels are wide, so occasionally it can’t fit between fixtures/furnitures in stores. But it haven’t been a real big issue.

Convertible Carseat
We have the Britax Blvd (my car) and Diplomat (DH’s car). DH’s car is smaller, so we got him the smaller carseat. Like TanDogMom said, the Diplomat is the same as the Roundabout but with side impact protection (just like the Blvd is the same as the Marathon but with side impact protection). We’ve been using the Blvd since birth, and it’s been great growing with M.

Shopping Cart Cover
I wanted one, but DH never saw the need for one. In the beginning, he said that we''ll just use the stroller or carry M when we are grocery shopping, and that we won''t put M in the shopping cart. Obviously we do put her in the shopping cart now, but we just wipe down the handle and areas where M can touch.

The Buzz is SOO tempting but I don't think it will fit easily in our trunk. I have to go measure though..it's definitely worth checking into as that is STILL my favorite stroller hehe.

I saw the Britax's at Albee last nite too...there is a Priori for $109 as well. Does anyone know offhand which is SMALLER?

Mara - IIRC, the Roundabout has a slightly higher weight or height limit than the Priori does. We ended up going with the Roundabout because we thought it would last slightly longer. I''m not sure if that translates to taking up more space in a car, but it would make sense if it did.

Does any one have or has test driven the Peg Perego GT3 stroller? I found a great deal on one, and was thinking of getting it for my SIL. I did email her the link so she can check it out and approve it, but I didn''t see many reviews out there, and nowhere around here carries strollers in that price range (that I know of). They have a huge SUV, so space isn''t an issue. I think the toddler step in the back would be great for her, she has a 3 year old and is due with #2 in June.

I have the roundabout and we love it! Fits in the back of our Carolla pretty easily.

I have a Corolla too!

She still fits in her infant carrier pretty comfortably and with the exception of lugging it up the stairs, I''m not in a rush to replace. But MIL needs a seat and I''m thinking it makes more sense to just buy her a convertible rather than a base and a convertible later. I want something easy to install since she''ll be in 3 cars regularly.

the quinny buzz 4 is on sale on btrendie for $349.99 + free shipping.

Thanks MustangGal, Blen, QTie, Tgal (sorry if I missed anyone) for your thoughts on the cover! Not sure if I can justify the price of the itsy ritsy although I would love to have something made by a brand "cuter than a duck's butt" for novelty value alone. I'll have to look into that! I think I will get a cart cover next time I'm at BRU or somewhere that I can see them in person.

Mara comparing the Britax to the Maxi Cosi it really depends on which Britax. You can get the exact dimensions from their websites, but we have both the Diplomat (same size as Roundabout) and the Priori and I'd say they seem like pretty much the same size, just eyeballing it. I prefer the looks of the Priori but when it comes to actual usage, I prefer the Britax. For some reason it is just easier to get him in and out. Both are good seats though and I am happy with both of them. Did you decide if you are going to get an infant seat? If you do, you can just get another base for your other car instead of needing two seats. The whole carseat thing was such a mental block for me. I'm still not sure what I'd do differently if I were doing it over. My kid just hated the infant seat and a lot of kids like it just fine. So hard to predict!

Blenheim THANK YOU for that tip on searching! So helpful!!!

I stopped using a cart cover around a year. It became too much of a pain. It was a shower gift from Target and was great for 4-12 months. Also fit in highchairs.

Attention ladies....it is time for Target''s toy clearance Wasn''t as impressed as last year. Last year was amazing but it might be better in different markets. I picked up a doctor''s set for $7. It''s cute but I am going to hold off on giving it to her. I don''t mind buying toys in advance if they are a good deal. Also saw LOTS of dolls (she wanted them all), play food, play tools, stuffed animals, and cars.

TDM we did get the Snug Ride for infant car seat from our registry. I was just thinking due to the sales we might want to get a Priori or Roundabout to store for when we need a convertible. We will only use the car seat in the A3, not Greg's car..and my Mom has a car seat (not Graco but another common one I can't remember) that a friend gave us when they moved, for her Corolla too.

Quinny is 349 at Albee for 3 or 4 right now too.

re: cart covers, someone gave us one, it looks huge and I guess doubles as a diaper bag or something. I was not too sure how much we'd actually use it, I guess until the kid can sit in the cart, not at all...so jury is still out for us.

Does anyone have any experience with the Britax Blink stroller? It''s more of a travel stroller along the lines of a Mclaren. I''m trying to plan ahead since we are going to be traveling quite a bit this summer, and I don''t think I will want to lug the Bugaboo or the Bob with us. I was looking on Albee Baby thanks to a link in another thread, and it looks like they are on sale for $100, plus Ebree posted a 10% off coupon. For the price, I may be willing to try it, but I wanted to know if anyone had every tried one out.

Day 3 of registry research... I''m on pg 15...

Jcrow- I can''t say you didn''t warn me!
FYI- Do you mind if I use your real name on here? I feel so weird typing Jcrow when I know you, but I know you are very good about your privacy on here, and don''t want to use it if you don''t want me to.
