Very nice! It would look lovely in white gold I think. Congrats!

Hmm...it''s not really what I thought it would look like. Either way it''s a typical Barry stone--GORGEOUS!!!

What did you think it would look like?

I was hoping TL would chime in even though this stone isn''t up to her tourmaline standards!

I am going to have to play with this stone again today. I just realized I had a blue shirt on yesterday. Not sure how much that factored in as typically the stone was well away from my body. But who knows.

I have no setting ideas as of yet. It must be in white gold though.

I just thought it would be more blue, that''s all.

Yeah I kind of did do. Sort of. . . I was wondering in my head how blue it would be. The ACS picture makes it look more blue for sure.

It certainly looks more minty in your photos but there are a couple where you can see the blue tones also. Sounds to me like you''ve got two stones for the price of one! It looks very pretty and I can''t wait to see what setting you choose.

It''s still a beautiful stone though! Any ideas on how to set it yet?

Just lovely!!

None! It must be in white gold though. I only wear that. I am thinking a rather simple setting though. That stone has a lot going on. I want the attention to the stone.

I agree. I think it would look best in a very simple clean setting to really show off that minty color

I''m open to all setting ideas for this. I don''t usually wear round stones. I actually don''t think I even own one . . . I have an oval . . . so this is a first.

What happened to TL? Did she disappear?

Business trip is what was posted.

HB95,
Sorry I didn''t get to your thread right away, but your new stone is beautiful. I would love to see that in a bezel setting.

Enjoy!!

Hey TL! I''m glad your back. I hope your daughter is feeling better soon!

I''m open to setting suggestions! All links welcome :) I don''t have anything bezeled so I''m willing to try that.

Thank you HB.

Do you want something ornate, modern, simple?

Nothing too ornate as that isn''t my style and I would like the stone to carry the attention. But not so simple that it''s like a solitaire.

Plain metal or with some bling?

Definitely some bling. Otherwise it''s too solitaire like. :)

But no halo, right? Some on the shank?

I don''t know . . . the stone has a lot going on. Will a halo enhance or detract from that?

BTW, Hoofbeats, the setting should be here on Tuesday, according to the tracking info I got. Tuesday is my stay-at-home writing day, so I will be able to get it! :)

That stone is gorgeous - love the silvery tone to it

Maybe something like Icekid''s avatar? It grabs me every time I see it, and it would work great with your minty sparkler.

Lovely stone!

I agree with ma re. Did you see this? Maybe you can ask him to make you one with round center.
