I found this on a UK site:

Padparadscha Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring in 18ct Yellow & White Gold.
Stone weight: 2.15-0.18ct.
Saph: 8.06 x 6.95mm.
Price: 1700

If "?" = "£", that would make this ring $3,371.11... does that sound right for this piece?

(ETA: On the website, there's a question mark where the GBP symbol would be)

There's a note about their sapphires:

The sapphires we use are either very dark with a rich, velvety blue showing through - like the 2.11ct - or they are the sparkly Ceylon, cornflower mid-blue type that are usually cut deeper to get that amazing colour like the 1.46ct and the 1.64ct. The pink and yellow sapphires are of this sparkly Ceylon material as well. The pink princess-cuts in the 0.76ct ET ring sparkle like diamonds.

Ninama,

That stone looks more like a dark pink sapphire to me. Perhaps it is my monitor. There is no mention about treatment. Most pad sapphires in the market are colour treated (Beryllium treatment ). The price quoted is way too low for a good pad sapphire of that size IMO.

Just to add ....

I presumed that the price you mentioned includes the diamond halo ring as well.
Well, perhaps it is not way too low. Pad sapphires come in different colours and quality.

You can get pad sapphires from $200 a carat to several hundreds/thousands per carat.

I''d be very suspicious - especially when you consider that UK prices are considerably up on US ones, regardless of the exchange rate, and that the price probably includes VAT at 17.5% (sales tax).

Not fussed on the colour and very probable BE treated.

I went to thenaturalsapphirecompany.com to look for some price comparisons, and it seems too low. Similar-ish Pads on that sight are priced from $5k - $10k (US)
However, it does seem like that might be comparabale pricing for a pink sapphire.

ETA: Here's the link I looked at:

I personally think it''s a very pretty ring, more of a magenta pink sapphire than a pad, but pretty nonetheless. I''d ask them about treatments.
I have purchased a number of stones without grading reports/certificates, but if I was going to get a significant stone such as for an engagement ring, I would want a grading report such as ags that tests for treatments to put my mind to rest. There is such a large difference in price between a be treated sapphire and a natural nontreated pad sapphire.

Thanks all.

I found these untreated lovlies, too... I think the colors are mouthwatering - even if the stones are imperfect and uncertified.
