Here's a picture of the 'tribute ring" that sparked the firestorm. Bear in mind that the original center stone was a larger, chunkier, and more oval (set e/w).

I miss surfgirl almost as much as I miss her avatar shot of that center stone (j/k -- I do miss surfgirl, ring or no ring). In fact, I imagine that might recognize her just from recognizing that stone if I happened to run into her on the street...





BTW, ditto the threads about FataFelice's wedding. Also, her threads about her custom dress, made from a re-fashioned antique lace dress.

Now that I think of it, there are a couple of threads about absolutely epic searches for the perfect wedding dress. FacetFire's search comes to mind, as does Harleigh's.

This is certainly wonderful news!

The 24-hour thread(s) are great! Although I think I missed the most recent one.
I love the threads where someone is truly supported. And, often, the threads that get super derailed.
All the wedding thread from my cohort of LIWs have been great to see, too. Now, more than one of them have LOs, which is also great to see.

I'm so glad someone posted the link to Ellen's squirrel. I was afraid I was going to have to track that one down. First thread that came to mind.

I have no idea how to find it, but the AV switching thread was one of my other favorites.

Indy and her babies... and the post that she has a daughter.

The rings in real life perspective thread. It was neat to see what everyone's rings look like from a normal distance, not blown up 10x.

For me, personally, my old breakup thread. Everyone was SO wonderful and really helped me through a tough time. I'll never forget it, and every so often I re-read it and feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I like reading the Getting Older thread... You all are hilarious and sweet.
