Well I figured I should post some sort of update.
Last year the PS community helped me design the engagement ring (which can be viewed 3/4 of the way down on page 4 of the following thread)
https://www.pricescope.com/forum/rockytalky/down-to-the-wire-still-a-few-decisions-t92981-90.html
Our wedding is in 81 days!!!
We have the:
*Venue (Cool old house converted into an event venue)
*Caterer (We are being a bit different, serving a full hearty meal since it''s an evening wedding)
*Photographer (We lucked out here, budget wise)
*Flowers (The venue is also doing flowers, how convenient!)
*Wedding dress (She found the dress she loved for less than $400, I was happy but haven''t seen it)
This week we will be:
*Ordering the invites (How cool are these? - http://cardsofwood.com/weddings.htm )
*Selecting and booking the cake/baker (Probably a red velvet wedding cake, again a bit different)
*Booking the musical band for the reception (They are holding the date)
*Ordering her wedding bands/rings (Already selected)
Decisions still to make:
*Guest favors (Probably a small frame that will hold place card, remove place card for picture of us!
*My Tux (?????, I need to get on this!)
*My wedding band/ring (I know I want tungsten, but I''m still looking)
So that''s where we are right now.
We are having an evening ceremony. Sunset here on that date will be 7pm. We need to decide today if the ceremony will be at 5, 5:30, or 6pm.
I think our plans are coming along quite nicely. She freaks out every time she looks at the darn knot.com checklist at stuff we are "overdue" on. But it has been a helpful site in spite of that.
*I am excited and can''t wait.
*I am confused and nervous about how we got over budget (We are paying for entire wedding)
*I have no idea how we will pay for a honeymoon (We have to somehow pay for that too)
*I thought her e-ring would be paid off by now. It isn''t. So my creative financing has to become a bit more creative.
Thanks for reading through this. I would love your input and feedback. Thanks so much for all the help from everyone in the PS community!!!
