Princess Cut Diamond Help

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I need a little help with selecting a princess cut diamond for a band. I much prefer round diamonds purchased from either HP or White Flash, but i'm helping someone with their purchase and i really want to come through for them, which is why i'm reaching out to all you kind folks : )

Diamond needs to come from Blue Nile as it's an upgrade. I also couldn't find any ACAs in the range that we're looking for at White Flash. I bookmarked a few, but certainly open to anything else in a similar range. Budget is around 25-30K, H/VS2 or better.

The first stone is a stock image and useless.
The second has substantial leakage see thru in the middle top and bottom.
In these sizes there is a little yellow showing in G.

Thanks for your feedback, Garry. I'll steer clear of the larger stone. I requested a video of the other stone, but yet to hear back.

With regards to color, are you saying that larger princess cuts typically show more yellow than a round might?

The first stone doesnt have any images, so we cant judge it at all. You can't buy fancy cuts without pics/videos. The 2nd one looks "dead" to me. Not enough light moving through the stone, definitely would rule that one out.

With regards to color, are you saying that larger princess cuts typically show more yellow than a round might?

Any diamond with smaller crushed ice appearance can show up to 3 times more colour.
A diamond of 5mm will show about half the color of a diamond or 7mm (except in the case of D or where assisted by fluorescence.

Thank you I never knew there was a quantifiable difference for size and color, just that of course it existed.

In this oval you can see high light return equivalent to a round brilliant through the centre and crushed ice effects like in a princess cut through the upper and lower central zones. The colour is concentrated in the crushed ice zones.
The 10ct is a much lower more yellow color than the 1ct.
These are virtual models and very precise renditions.
