Ok folks, here she is! The first pics Lesley and crew sent me of my custom creation. Details on the stone can be found in my thread in RockyTalk here (opens in a new window).

I hope everyone will weigh in with their thoughts on design, craftsmanship, etc!

WOW! Everything about it is perfect! The craftmanship is amazing, I love how the design is substantial but still elegant and flowing, and that diamond- WOWx3!!!!

I love the width of the band and how it curves up so nicely to the stone...perfect!
 
I like how the band curves up to the head of the "basket" (for lack of a better word!) and then the "basket" shape compliments the band. Very classy!! And the diamond is gorgeous!! Congratulations!!

Just to give you a look into my brain (yikes!), I call this a "modified cathedral" style. In talking to Lesley and Leon at WF, I stressed that I wanted this to have the look of a flower.

"Envision a lily in platinum," is what I kept telling them. I wanted the metal to swoop back like petals to either side of the stone.

Anyway, thank you all again. I''m VERY excited to receive this beauty...and then give it to the most wonderful girl in the world!

It is just BEAUTIFUL and I ADORE the graceful curving of the shank where it meets the head. As for the craftmanship, it looks perfect. Can''t wait to see this baby on the hand!!!

You know what? When I looked at your pictures, especially the side view, I was thinking that your ring resembled a flower. Then I read down and saw your post about your concept for the ring. I think the ring is perfect and exactly what you were hoping for (at least by my eyes

Amazing!!! Your diamond is GORGEOUS, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the setting! It is so breathtaking! You have a beautiful ring on your hands. Please post pics of the ring on your soon-to-be fiancee''s hand once you have them--or at least let us know what she thinks! Again, your stone and ring are amazing!
