Hi all.

I recently got some small diamond earrings made. However one of the earrings does not look right. It looks like one of the prongs is uneven but can't work out which one is causing the issue. I have attached a couple of photos.

Any help would be appreciated as I would like to get it fixed.

Thanks

Based on the first picture, the lower-right corner prong is not in the correct position to form a square. It is 4 degrees off center when connecting back to the lower-left corner prong.

Here's some color/lines to help you visualize the issue. The blue line has been rotated 4 degrees.

It is a simple fix for a jeweler. Take it or send it back.

Nice job, @holeydonut! And nice of you to make the effort to work out exactly the extent of the problem.

Hoping it's fixed soon, @Bxxd!

Thank you so much. This has helped me see the issue clearly.

Thank you. I hope I get it fixed soon. Really want to enjoy wearing them

Thanks alot. I will definitely take it back in. Would it be a case of just moving the prong slightly?

Thank you

cant see the side, but its a problem and its not your problem to fix :)

Question was more for my understanding. Attached is a side view. Be great to see what you think.

They were probably made by hand or a bad casting. It is their problem, and you need to make it so!

One prong looks thicker to me so it might be that they need to thin it out. The jeweler should be able to assess and fix the issue. Will be waiting to hear the outcome - all the best!!

Thanks. I will report back once I have taken it back in.
