It seems prongs are to rings as shoes are to an outfit. They can really change the whole feel of a ring.

Just for fun - Please show your prongs and maybe describe what you think they say about your ring. :P2

Here is a ring for which I got a premade setting. The prongs are “bulbous,” which I think makes the ring more casual or like it’s in its comfy clothes if they were shoes to an outfit. Maybe even slippers. :lol-2: The stone also has a “casual” feel to it in my opinion. I was looking for a casual ring overall and am pleased.

I was thinking this prong style wasn’t “in” so much but that’s ok.

But then I saw this ring posted here. I’m sorry I can not remember who posted it. It looks like these settings might be the same style though different in structure. The prongs here definitely don’t look like slippers on this beautiful ring!

HI! I totally agree with you on prongs. They make or break a look!
The way Tiffany makes their prongs is perfection to me... crisp, angled precisely, yet slightly rounded.
Here is a link to their classic setting... look at the prongs in the first two photos...

The first photo you can see the prongs are rounded at the ends.
The second photo you can see the prongs are angled precisely, there is a crisp bluntness to them right as it curves to a rounded edge, and the diamond is seated perfectly without any air gap.
