jane, I didn''t want to threadjack anymore than I already had in tan''s thread. Here''s the link to all the icons. They are all through here, too many now to pull together in one spot!

Oh, Far and Away! I think I cried all the way through, and not at the plot!Date: 5/12/2008 12:47:30 PM

Maybe not as bad as Nicole Kidman in Far and Away but it was surely awful...
It went in and out drawing attention away from what he was saying.Actually I didn''t think Nicole''s accent was too bad in that film, but maybe she just sounded passable compared to the travesty that was Tom Cruise doing his best Oirish impersonation! My favourite bits were - ''Shannon, yerra carkerrrr, a carkerrrr I tella'' and ''Shannon, Oi doyed Oi did!''It irked me no end that he kept sliding in and out of some terrible Cork leprechaun effortish thing, and then called his father ''Da'', which is pure Dublin! Oooof.
Belle, Gerard Butler is Scottish born and bred. I love that accent!
Bee so you clocked it too eh?The sound of him in the trailers alone made me wince and almost put me off going to see the movie...
I saw an interview with Cecilia Ahern and she said her favourite thing about the movie was how beautiful it made Ireland look. That alone made me want to see it. I love this place! The book made me bawl my eyes out so I didn''t go in the cinema - I figure that''s a movie best watched at home with only BF to laugh at the mess
Monarch, I loved 27 Dresses, great movie! Did you like it?
Monnie I didn''t so much go for the guy who played her boss, but the main love interest? Oh my!Date: 5/15/2008 3:19:25 AM

I think i expected more from the movie, I don''t know what exactly, but just more, maybe more drama, maybe more tears. To me, Heigl''s character was really blah when they could have done so much more with it. The sister absolutely infuriated me, and I think I focused more on that than on heigl''s character, knim? It was a good little chick flick movie, though, I think I was expecting more since the last i saw her in was Knocked Up and just laughed my a$$ off. But wow, did I love seeing those adorable males...i don''t even know the actors'' names but SWWOOOOONNN!
I completely agree...his name is James Marsden, omg what a hottie! (Thank you, imdb!) I look forward to seeing him in more movies, for sure!Date: 5/15/2008 11:50:19 AM
