Curly, ADORABLE pictures!

Burk, let me know what you buy!

curly awww, your girls are so precious! Lily is such a pretty one and Lucy is getting so big already!

burk yeah, we''ve decided to look into homes, but the homes in our area are pretty much the same size as ours or smaller. so we''re looking into another neighborhood and the cost is SOOOO much more, and we are not selling our current home (my idea). i just can''t part with this home. if it''s more reasonable to expand, we will, but most likely add another level. but we are actually pretty sure it will not get approved. i just can''t even think about paying so much for a house, but it will be A LOT bigger, practically double ours right now. i''m ok with paying in the millions, but we''re talking about 2 digits before the comma...SCARY! this is pretty depressing. when is the building going to start for your new house? or you guys are still debating?

tacori YIKES!!! people are SOOO rude!
they are having crazy closeouts on a bunch of toys all over target. when we went the other day, we bought 2 carts of stuff. haha!

janine what a commute you have! like everyone already said, she will not forget who you are. she will always know who mommy is and you guys will always have that special mommy baby bond.

Tacori~My sister just called me to tell me she was just at Target and there are deals everywhere. She even got a couple pairs of shoes for herself for ridiculously low prices. I''ll let ya know how I do!

Puffy~You know what I''ve noticed for me? It''s not how much square footage you have, it''s how it''s allocated. I couldn''t care less how big our office is or really even care how big our kids rooms are but I want a play room and a big family room, big kitchen. What rooms would your addition be? So, We''re still on the fence about what to do with the house situation. A little scared about ours not selling and being forced to rent it and also wondering if it wouldn''t just make sense to buy the one we saw that drew us to our builder and wait a few years to build our "final dream home." We''re going to look at the original house again tonight. Who knows what we''ll end up doing!

oh, I so do not have time to hit target today but will try and get a trip in tomorrow. I LOVE a good deal.

curly- the pics of your girls are so darn cute. I don''t usually dress my girls matching expect for the Holiday pictures. They are funny though b/c they actually LIKE to match and dress alike..go figure..

burk-can''t wait to see what you find at target too...

Tacori--
2010 is really not too far off you know? :)
Yeah, definitely wouldn't want to be lugging my big ole belly during the summer heat.
I nearly passed out that one hot day beginning of last year.
Wow, you made a killing at the Target clearance.
Will have to sneak out of work tomorrow and see what I can find :P
Hehe, you are a magnet for those rude people.
Sometimes I think you need to be rude back to them cuz they certainly don't know anything about being civilized and kind.

Jas12--
I'll probably schedule a checkup with the OB-GYN to make sure that I am back to my old self before TTC,
especially since I'm not the healthiest eater here.

QT--
Hehe....that's good. You really don't know how many kids you may need to have to get that elusive boy or girl.
My cousin had 5 boys before deciding that they are not going to try for that elusive girl.
M is so big now! Look at that cute smile and little pearlies
30.gif
30.gif

Yay for her rolling over. Don't worry, she'll be rolling all over the place before you know it.
And yay for the *doggy* sit. She'll be sitting up within a week
2.gif

They grow up so fast huh?

Diva--
Ha, that''s about the same time frame that we were thinking.
DH has this insane idea that we should aim for another april baby so we can do both bdays at the same time :D
I was really fortunate to escape nausea and tiredness during my first pregnancy.
Hope the second one is the same, but I''ve heard people''s difference in experiences between pregnancies.
Glad to hear that you got a warm welcome back at work.

And Yay for James rolling and sitting up!

mrss~I''ll let ya know what deals I find so you know what else to look for (besides Tacori''s stash) when you go tomorrow! :)

I keep forgetting to post this, but wanted to let you all know I had the BEST experience buying from diapers.com last week. I had never purchased anything from them before but I had a $10 off coupon and there is free shipping....so Pampers ended up being $.20 a diaper (yes, I know I''m a dork) and I also got a puzzle and a couple toys for the bathtub on sale. I placed the order at 3pm last Wednesday and it arrived at my door Thursday evening! Great customer service: emails with order and shipping info as well as super fast shipping and CHEAP! Anyway, just thought I''d share for those interested.

Burk--
Feb? That''s just next month
36.gif
36.gif

How exciting!
You are probably one of 2 (I think the other was Chrono) who wanted the boob shrinkage post-breastfeeding :P

Anyway, I know what you mean about trying not to laugh when Tayva is being naughty.
J is already displaying signs of throwing a tantrum.
Just today, I took my bag of oatmeal away from her and she arched her back and lie straight on the floor and about to scream.
I looked down at her with my hands on my hip and said .... "don''t tell me you are throwing a fit now" and she smiled and got up.
We are going to have a handful with that one
38.gif
38.gif

Snlee--
Bummer about stretch marks on your *girls*.
Did your milk come in full and fast after delivery?
Did you have stretch marks on your belly too?

Curly--
Thanks for the pictures.
I''ll get off your back for another couple of weeks
41.gif

They are just adorable together.
Lily is pretty as ever and Lucy is cute as a button.
Love the look that she''s always giving to Lily
5.gif

LOL....Lily has quite a personality huh?

burk yeah, that''s how i am. B has a BIG playroom, well all of our downstairs is his play room so that is a plus. the family room and kitchen are big as well. and the master bed is really big which i love, the other rooms are average size. i would like to build on and add a closet for me and our guest room and another small storage room, but we''ll see. one of our rooms right now is a closet for me just because i have WAY too much stuff.
renting is such a pain, but actually i am willing to do it just so that we don''t have to sell this house. i LOVE our house.
good luck with the decisions! i know it must be tough.
have fun at target!!

janine, sorry to hear you're back at work and have such a long commute! NO FUN! I hope that means you'll be posting more though.
2.gif
I'm sure Chloe will not forget who her mommy is! As for working from home, I hope they let you a few days a week.

Curly, the pictures of your girls are so cute! Glad they are both doing well in daycare. Lucy seems like she's doing well! I can't believe she rolled over already! D is strong but not close to rolling over. I hope you can post more often too.

Tacori, what's going on at Target, why so many good deals now? That's awesome you got so much stuff. I love good deals! Was there anything good there for younger babies? Sorry about the rude people! How annoying!

puffy, wow a play set for B in the back yard, that's AWESOME! What a lucky boy he is! What is it going to have? I'm sure he'll LOVE it!

Diva, I still have the linea nigra from my bottom of rib cage all the way down too. Blah! Yay for James rolling and sitting up!
36.gif

lili, I had some stretch marks on my belly but after my belly went down the marks aren't as dark. The one on the *girls* are so noticeable! I had some small stretch marks while I was pregnant and then after my milk came it got so much worse! I still have the linea nigra from my bottom of rib cage all the way down too. Not pretty. Oh well, what can you do?

snlee, actually I think it has to do with the new toy restrictions coming up. They gotta get rid of the old stock before Feb 9th. Hopefully I made "safe" choices. I would not be surprised if TRU is having sales too. Not sure how exactly it is going to work.

puffy, my cart was FULL! Granted the boxes are huge so it looked like a lot more than it was. Did you get anything good? Isn''t your house HUGE? What are you upgraded to?

Burk, awesome! Hope you find some goodies.

MrsS, girl I love a good deal too! DH makes fun of my coupons but it is a game to me.

lili, I know it is not that far away
32.gif
I am already scared! Haha. Rude people seem to love me and I SWEAR I am a very polite person!
12.gif

thanks everyone--i have pics of Chloe everywhere at my desk, so it''s a nice reminder.

Curly: Your girls are such cuties, I love the shot of them looking at each other. I don''t know if it''s just me, but I think babies have similar expressions--b/c when I look at photos of babies close in age to Chloe, it looks familiar! I can''t believe Lucy rolled over---Chloe has a ways to go. I haven''t got her in a bumbo yet either.

For those of you with infants--do you notice them turning their heads often (back and forth) especially when waking up? Chloe does this and is losing hair in the back as a result! No biggie, but curious if this is a trait others have seen.

snlee are you going to the gtg? i''m just so dang nosey...how is that little something coming along?
B''s play set has a slide, a swing, a bridge type thing, tunnels to go through, bars and all sorts of stuff that should hopefully keep him occupied for awhile. you and D are welcome to come by to play when D gets older, if we''re still in this house.

tacori yeah, we got tons of toys. some i know B will not play with yet or probably can''t, we still got it. haha. and we got tons of stuff for other kids. we got cars, ride along cars, tool sets, cooking gadgets and sets, we might have gotten the same vacuum, lawn mower, a few ball pits and a bunch of other stuff. our house is a good size, but i think my problem is that i have no self control. i keep buying stuff and we end up with no room. i know that most of the stuff that i have no room for is MY stuff but i keep going out to buy stuff. i mean, what mom of a toddler keeps buying pumps that she will not wear any time soon and insists on keeping them all nice in the box?!?! THAT is my problem. and i jut can''t say no to purses! i even tried to compromise with DH. i told him to turn the garage into a nice BIG closet type thing for me and i will keep ALL my stuff there then we''ll have more room, a lot more room. BUT, no luck.

janine, YES! D does this all the time. And you can see lots of hair where his head has been. He has a bald spot in the back of his head.

Tacori, oh yeah, that makes sense.

puffy, don't think I'm going. It's so hard to get away, especially since I'm nursing. And bringing D along would be kind of weird and a lot of trouble. Plus I'll be so occupied with baby, I won't be able to look at everyone's bling! Were you thinking of going? I was supposed to receive my mommy gift this week. However, I just learned it's been delayed 2 weeks! I'm disappointed.
7.gif
I can't wait to get it! I should have it by the end of January now. Want to get together after I get it? Any suggestions on where we could go? I'm sure you know where B would have fun. We can tag along.
3.gif
B's play set sounds fun! You are so kind for inviting us over. We would love to come over for a play date. When D gets older, they can play together!

Burk, there are some days when I think Lucy looks exactly like Lily did and then there are other days when they don''t look at all alike to me!! Lily had dark hair when she was a baby too but she had a lot more than Lucy does. And Lucy is definitely chunkier but also much more mellow. It''ll be interesting to see if she grows up to look like her big sis. BTW, I absolutely LOVED the photos of Tayva as the flower girl. Of course, her parents are gorgeous too!
30.gif

Tacori, I love when you post all your great bargain finds here! I never have time to track the deals down on my own so I appreciate your tips! Did I mention that I bought 6 pairs of Babylegs when you posted that insane sale?! I don''t even know if we''ll ever use them but they were too cute and too inexpensive to pass up, even if I give them as gifts!!! Sorry for the crappy customer at Target. People are so freaking rude, sometimes you have to find it in yourself to give them a dose of their own medicine. I can''t wait for you to get pregnant again! I don''t know why but I''m most excited about living through it with you one more time!!! I know you''re not looking forward to it but after what you went through the first time, I think you deserve to have a great pregnancy and labor/delivey the second time!
1.gif

puffy, I hear ya on needing more space. We have 2 kids crammed into a one bedroom apartment!! I''m starting to get the itch to move because I know we could probably get a good deal in this down market but we''d have to sell our place first and I refuse to take a loss on it. So we''ll wait and wait and wait...

mrssalvo, I''ll be curious to see if the girls have the same sense of style as they get older. And I have to tell you that Jake is such a cutie pie! I can''t believe how much he''s grown up!!! How different is it to have a boy?

lili, glad you like the photos!
2.gif
I know what you mean about laughing when you''re not supposed to. Lily has insane tantrums and DH and I have found that if we laugh at her, she stops! But the hardest thing is when we''re trying to "discipline" her and we start cracking up!!! I think we can''t really believe that we''re grown ups sometimes!

qt, M is soooo adorable! I can''t believe how big she''s getting. Time FLIES!!!!!

snlee, I LOVE the photos of D. His hair is awesome!!! Can he lend some to Lucy?! Such a cutie! I still have the linea nigra too. It''s getting lighter from my belly button up but still kinda dark going in the other direction. I got away without getting any stretch marks but I definitely have a saggy belly. Not pretty!
8.gif
And unfortunately, my boobs didn''t grow until after my milk came in and since I didn''t BF, they went right back down to fried egg size within a week. So now I feel like my stomach is bigger than my chest!

janine, I can''t believe you''re a commuter! I give you a lot of credit. I gotta tell you, that''s the one major thing that''s stopping us from looking in the suburbs. Neither one of us can stomach the idea of a long commute right now. But I would kill to have a house! Don''t worry, Chloe will NEVER forget that you''re her mommy. And it''s good that you can "look at her" during the day. You should see all the photos I have on my desk--it''s ridiculous! Regarding the head moving back and forth thing, yes, Lucy does that too. She''s losing the hair on the back of her head as well but that''s normal from the "back to sleep" campaign. It will all grow back and you won''t notice a difference.

I''m so excited for everyone who will be TTC soon!! No, no, no, I''m not having urges or anything like that. Please, DH and I barely even have a chance to eat dinner together so there''s no action happening in my house anyway and you''ll all be glad to know that I finally got my period and started the pill so I will NOT be having any more babies! But I''m looking forward to going through all the 2nd pregnancies here! Can''t wait to hear all about them!!!!
3.gif

Janine, I totally remember Tessa doing that! Normal. She would do it when she slept on her tummy (starting around 4 months) too. It was funny.

Puffy, oh so you have the problem! STOP SHOPPING! Haha. I hardly buy ANYTHING for myself. All baby then house.

Snlee, I got stretch marks too. I know one day they will have a laser treatment (or I am hoping). Haha.

Curly, you are right! I totally DESERVE an easy birth & recovery. Honestly my pregnancy wasn''t *that* bad. Uncomfortable (emotionally and physically) but no medical problems. I think my next year I WILL be ready. The urge isn''t there yet though! You know I love sharing my good deals (b/c I DO have the time to find them. Haha). I bought way too many babylegs too. I guess Target''s version is like 87 cents now but I need more like a hole in the head. Hope things calm down for you a bit. Are you done having kids for sure or just playing it day by day?

Curly -
35.gif
Your girls are such cuties. They look a lot alike!

Puffy - I had to gasp when you said you were okay paying in the MILLIONS for a home! That''s practically unheard of over here in Northwest Ohio! Where are you located?

I got a coupon in the mail from BRU today for 15% off baby gear - including carseats, strollers, play yards, swings and bouncers. There''s also a coupon for $5 off any Similac purchase of $50 or more. We''re going to use it on another carseat for James. Right now he has the Britax Roundabout in my vehicle, but we''re going to get a convertable one to put in my car and then move the Roundabout into MIL''s van. We haven''t decided on a brand/style yet.

Tacori, I AM DONE!!! Absolutely no more children for me. I only wanted two and I got them so the shop is officially closed! I told DH that I want him to get snipped because I don''t want to be on the pill forever and he''s actually considering it. I told him it''s reversible if he ever leaves me and his 2nd wife wants kids!
2.gif
But I''m definitely finished now!!

diva we''re in the sf bay area. homes in our little city actually have gone up in price and the demand is still definitely there.

snlee it''ll get easier to get out with D. soon you can bring him out all the time. B''s pay set is pretty cool, but BIG. it took 3 guys almost 3 hours to put it together! haha. would love to get together after you get your mommy gift. i am so excited for you. you waited this long, what''s another few weeks, it''ll fly by. oh, i wanted to ask if you still put things over D''s hands? i only ask cause i saw in the pic that you did. i hope you don''t find this offensive, but i think that for developmental reasons, you should probably let his hands free so he can explore things with his hands. at least that''s what the pedi told us when B was younger. i''ll totally mind my own business now...Sorry if i became one of THOSE people who give advice where it wasn''t needed.

tacori yes, i have the problem!! i definitely shop the most for B, then me, house, then DH. B has so much stuff everywhere i figure i would stop getting him stuff for a bit. well, i guess i took that as an opportunity to shop for myself. i swear i am donating things every few months. i have a problem and yes i NEED to STOP shopping. DH tells me that all the time. it totally doesn''t help when i do go stuff that i HAVE to do and drive past the mall. i am BAD. but i am stopping or cutting down now since we need the space.

curly how do you do it? 2 kids, all their stuff, and your stuff in a 1 bedroom? you are GOOD!!!

so all this talk about needing more space, i have an appt with a closet company to come see what they can do for me. i''m sure if i just got a few racks put it and some shelves, i will be good to go and we will have plenty of space. so i got the OK from DH.

puffy, thanks for the advice. I do appreciate it so don''t feel bad. We''ve been putting the mittens on him to keep his hands warm (before this week, it was cold!) and when he sleeps so he doesn''t scratch his face. But you bring up a good point about letting his hands be free for developmental purposes so I''ll leave them uncovered during the day. So where do you want to go? I guess we shouldn''t go shopping! Haha.
3.gif

snlee ok, good. i totally didn''t want to be all in your business. we can go anywhere do anything. you''ll be with the younger one, so whatever is convenient for you. haha, yes, let''s try to avoid the mall.

burk how did it go..looking at the house again? did make you lean one way or another? at least you have options!! did you go to target as well?

Hi all! Just wanted to say that all these baby pictures are adorable! Burk, Jake, Snlee, QT, and Curly-I just cannot believe how big all these babies are getting so quickly. And just how adorable they all are!

Sorry that my posts are so self-centered, I promise they will become less so once I have advice to offer and a bit more time on my hands! The babies and I are doing pretty well, Max has a bit of a diaper rash that we are having trouble getting rid of. He just poops so much that we just cannot keep him dry. We''ve been washing his little tush very often in addition to ointment and it''s getting better at least, but I feel so badly.

And I have a question for TGal and any other sleep crazies.
2.gif
My goal is to get the boys on an early to bed schedule once they feasibly can. What is the best way to handle the transition from sleeping all the time to taking naps at specific times and going to *bed* at a specific time?

Thanks all! Stay warm out there for those of you up north...it is -16 here right now!!!

Good to hear the head turning is normal! The other thing Chloe is doing now is making funny noises! She does this gargling/cooing/yelling combination that sounds like a cat! Then she laughs! However if no one pays attention it turns into a cry to be picked up. Well at least she''s not shy about making noises!

Tacori:So we can put our little ones on their tummies at 4 months? That''d be great because Chloe prefers it! Thanks for the bargains tips too-now if I could only get to Target..

Burk: Can''t wait to hear the TTC updates, that way those of us who won''t be TTC''ing for awhile (if at all for me!) can live vicariously a bit!

Puffy: how fun that you and SNLEE are meeting up--where do guys live (which state I mean--not trying to be stalkerish!). Hopefully you''ll be able to find a bigger house soon.

Q: love the pics, especially the one of the 2 little teeth!

Curly: The commute is rough, but once we''re settled in our house (right now at my parents so my mom can babysit and also so the house can be painted) it''ll be cut down to an hour door to door. Still not my old commute (walking in 15mins!), but I try to rationalize that when I lived UES and worked downtown, it''d be an hour on bad days too! You really are awesome for having 2 kids in a 1bdrm, working, taking them to daycare AND still in a great mood! I had to laugh about your comments on flabby tummy being bigger than the bb''s..I feel the same way! I gained tons of weight but not in the bb''s!! Now I only have about 8lbs to go, but am hating my tummy which is an ugly roll and strange texture too. Although haven''t exactly been doing crunches either. Oh and I forgot to say I am totally impressed with you enrolling Lily at Alliance Francaise! Maybe she can go to Ecole Bilangue when she''s older and hob nob with the celeb kids ;)

Snlee: I love how we can compare notes becuase D and Chloe seem to have a lot in common (not all good stuff..hehe). How''s D''s sleeping coming along these days? Is he in the crib yet? Chloe still co-sleeps (I NEVER thought I''d be a co-sleeper, but it just happened since I was trying to help her flathead and keep her positioned--it''s much better now), but hoping to get her into the crib at 4 mo''s (in 2 weeks!). She goes to bed 930-10pm now which is progress since she used to go to bed at 11-12! She''s asleep when I leave so at least I don''t have to wake her but she does wake up 1x a night about 75% of the time. When do you go back to work?

lili~Yea, next month!!! It''s so weird to think about being preggo again, but I''ve had my "old body" back for a while so I''m willing to surrender it back to pregnancy I think.
3.gif
Tantrums are fun, aren''t they? So funny J smiled when you asked her if she was going to throw a fit....kind of like "maybe not THIS time mom!"
16.gif

puffy~Boy can I relate to your shopping issues. I but for T first but then I buy for me. I love clothes, shoes and purses. We have an entire bedroom dedicated as my closet! We had closet organizers made for in there so it''s pretty organized. I love it but, it''s a bedroom that we can''t use for guests, playroom or future kids! As for the house, we''re still on the fence. It''s 1 1/2 story so the master is on the main floor, but the kids rooms are upstairs and I''m not sure that''s ideal with little kids....now, with teenagers that would be GREAT!!

Tacori~I went to our biggest Target and STRUCK OUT!!! I''m so sad! I got her a tea set for her birthday, which I gave her this morning and she LOVES and I got her a pair of shoes for $2 but other than that there was hardly any toys on sale.
38.gif
Probably for the best because I probably would have gone nuts. I did get myself a sweater (in maternity section) for $4!

Janine~I don''t know that I''d put Chloe on her tummy to sleep, but if she rolls over to her tummy after you lay her down on her back, I wouldn''t worry about rolling her back. My T was rolling in her sleep at around 4 months and we left her.

curly~They just looks so much alike in the pictures (both BEAUTIFUL). It will be interesting to see if Lucy grows to look like Lily! Feel free to live vicariously through my pregnancy!
41.gif
I''ll probably only tell you guys when we find out we''re preggo and not anyone (except maybe my sister and mom) IRL because I have a HUGE fear of MC and we were so lucky the first time!

Not done, BBL...must do teacher stuff!!

Diva~We went with the Evenflo Triumph and really like it. Good luck car seat shopping!

Neatfreak~Tayva has had an early bedtime since she was probably 6 weeks old (7 o'clock ish). We started a routine with bath, books, bottle, bed then and we do the same routine now at almost a year.

Tayva had her appointment with her allergist yesterday. He is concerned with her asthma. He didn't do the skin tests-said at this point we just need to get the asthma under control or the next cold she catches could turn into pneumonia! We have started Tayva on Nebulizer treatments 2 times a day for 5 minutes each. She HATES it and cries the entire time. He said when we go back in a month we should be able to go down to just one treatment a day. He also said she has a 50% chance of growing out of this so please pray that she does!! Poor girl!

curly, I thought I remember you saying you only wanted two but couldn''t remember. We aren''t 100% decided but if my L&D is like T''s I am DONE!

Puffy, I guess if you can afford it and your DH supports it then you can just call it a hobby not a problem
2.gif

NF, I believe sleep training can begin around 4 months. That is when we started. Before then it is a sleep free for all. I think they are so young they just need it when they need it.

Janine, 4 months is when T started rolling (both ways). We would always PUT her to sleep on her back but obviously we can''t go in there and turn her over all night long. Our pedi said since she CAN roll back on her own it was okay so then we started to put her to bed on her belly. Now she sleep all over (her back, tummy and side).

Burk, Oh no! Sorry you struck out! Bummer. I really hope poor T grows out of this! She has been through so much poor thing. My fingers are crossed for you.

Tacori~I know, I even asked a sales associate if I was missing anything!
6.gif
She does love the tea set, though, so at least that was good. The asthma is the reason she''s been getting so sick (pneumonia, croup, ect) and he says if we get it under control with the treatments she shouldn''t be getting sick so often (aside from colds that all kids get). I was in tears giving her the first treatment, though. It took both DH and I to hold her down and keep the mask on her!

Sorry to hear this Burk. My son had to do treatments too. I was always petrified listening to him cough without catching a breath. They said he would grow out of it and he did. He has an inhaler and only uses it with a bad cold. I will keep my fingers crossed that T grows out of it too. Hang in there!
