Jas12--
Co knows alot for his age!
J does say mama and baba and various combinations (like mamabababa or mababamaba with different inflections -- basically gibberish
41.gif
)
But mostly she's into screaming and squealing
14.gif

It would be crazy if we are back on the preggo by fall.
We are hoping for a spring or summer baby.
Winter is just too cold and I'd probably keel over in the heat if I have to go through my third trimester in the summer.

Puffy--
J loves those freeze dried bananas too.
I got the strawberry and banana combination...and she'd picked out and tossed the strawberry.
Her cousin, on the other hand, likes the strawberry....so there were no fighting over the fruit when they were sharing.

B looks like a really talkative and social boy! He must yap nonstop everyday huh?

Ok, is it me or does it seem like we haven't seen enough of the recent pictures of all the babies (and toddlers too :)
Pictures please mommies.

DD, oh I know a woman CAN get preggo while BFing (and not having her AF) I just thought it was advised to stop nursing while TTC. Could be wrong though.
Oh I knew you knew, I just thought it was a funny story to share (maybe not to her!
23.gif
hee hee)! I think you are probably right about weaning first if at all possible. If you just do the caloric math it must be sooo hard on the old body... I think when my friend found out she was preggo she weaned pretty fast in part because her doctor mentioned that her supply would lessen when preggo anyways. I think the body probably prioritizes the growing baby over feeding the older baby? Anyways, interesting. Won't be a problem for me since I plan to wait until #1 is about three before getting preggo again and I don't plan to BF my first for THAT long
3.gif

Puffy, I am going to buy 100 more balls. 50 balls just looks pathetic. Haha.

Lili, I was in my 3rd tri during the fall (which is HOT here) I remember 100+ degree weather. That being said the plan is to TTC Jan of 2010. So maybe out second babies will be reversed (your second 6 or so months older than mine).

DD, We have a family friend who was told she would have trouble getting preggo. Her doctor actually told her after the birth of her oldest to start trying ASAP b/c it would take awhile. Wouldn''t you know it she got preggo when her baby was less than 2 months old. She weened right away b/c she had to. My neighbor had a physical and she was really low on a lot of stuff according to her blood test (she is BFing twins). I can''t remember which ones but it does take a lot out of your body. I can''t imagine BFing WHILE preggo!

thanks gals for the sweet comments on my little man. He does like the snow and it''s fun to watch his face while it falls on us.

snlee-love the pics of little D. goodness all that hair is awesome. It will probably be 2 years until Jake has even close to that much..

Tacori and DD--my hairdresser nursed her son up until 6 months preggo and worked almost full time hours
6.gif
How crazy is that?!? Her dr. advised against it b/c of how tired etc. she would be and the toll it takes on your body but she played it week by week and luckily had a very easy pregnancy. She is now utterly exhausted and yep, like tacori mentioned, depleted of minerals ect. according to her last checkup. I am sure it is quite common, but probably not ideal. I am not sure what the ''medical'' recommendation is but I think i''ll wean, wait for a few cycles to come and go and then try...

MrsS,NF and Jas12
Stay warm.

Jas12
Wow Co is doing great with his food. Table food already.
Hopefully DC#2 will be a spring baby for you too. B/c it was no fun to be pregnant and huge during the summer months for me.

Tacori
I agree. How can someone make a mean face at a baby or little kid for no appearance reasons is beyond me.
Well I use an electric double pump, so I am sure it pump more than the manual pump.
Ballpit is awesome. We got a nephew one for Christmas when he was 2; he loved it. Yay for clearance price too.

puffy
Glad B is better.
B is such a smartie. I swear PS babies are not just cute, but smart too.
Toddlers love to test the limits. At least B is doing it at home; you have more options at home.

MrsS
Looks like Jake is enjoying the snow. The smile is just so adorable.

Mrs Mitchell
Glad your supply is going back up. Keep up the good work.

lili
No, if the 3rd is a girl, then that''s it. I don''t mind because I grew up in a family of 3 girls. He actually has 3 older sisters, but he said no 4th. hehe.

snlee
Awww adorable pics of D. Love his smile and hair. Why is M''s hair so light compared to other Asian babies? I guess my hair was light too when I was a baby (not anymore though), but where did it come from? So weird.
But I only get the 10oz b/c I don''t feed or pump from 9pm to 5am. I am sure if you go that long without nursing, you''ll get about that amount.

Mrs. S. - Jake is such a cutie! I love the expression on his face too. I have some similar snow pics of James that I need to get into the computer to post.

Snlee - Awwww....itty bitty newborns just make me melt! I''m so jealous that he has so much hair! James looks a lot like Mrs. S''s Jake - bald!

Lili + Jas12 - I may be over on the preggo thread this fall too. We will probably start TTC in June, July or August - I haven''t totally decided yet. We are only having two children and we don''t want them to be too far apart in age. Are either of you worried about taking care of your little one''s with m/s, nausea or extreme tiredness? I am!

I''m super busy at work, expectedly. I''m part-time so I don''t have much time to satisfy my PS obessession while I''m at the office. It is nice to be back though. Everyone seems genuinely happy to have me back

Ooops accidentally hit submit before I finished.

M rolled over for the first time today. She went from back to tummy. I was so excited. I could tell she was about to do it b/c she was lifting her head as she was turning sideways. I hope she will do it more often after this time. But she didn''t even try to do it again after the one time. She also kind of sitting unassisted. I say kind of because she has to lean forward quite a bit to balance. I try to lean her back against the pillow, but she won''t have it.

M_sitting.jpg

A pic of M that shows her two bottom teeth.

M_showing_her_teeth.jpg

Q - M is sooo cute! She is getting so big already. James sits up just like that but he hasn''t mastered the back to front rollover yet. He''s a pro at the front to back rollover though. Nice teeth too on that babe!

That''s very exciting that so many of you will soon TTC #2!

I can''t imagine BFing while pregnant!

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments about D. I love his hair too! He''s lucky to have so much hair.

janine, sometimes D does that too. If he sees me with the digital or video camera, he stops smiling, cooing, and laughing! He''ll just stare at me! Can we get some pictures of Chloe?

QT, yay for M rolling over! She''s so cute sitting up! Did your DH have much hair as a baby? I think I had an average amount of hair for an asian baby and DH had a lot? I''m pretty sure he got the hair from DH.

Diva, D isn''t a tiny newborn anymore. I guess compared to James he''s still small but I miss him as a tiny newborn. They really grow too fast the first year!

puffy, glad you went out and enjoyed this weather. Sounds like you had a fun day! Did you have lunch with your DH?

Jas12~Thank you! Hopefully my sisters photographer has at least a couple other good ones since I was a terrible photographer!

Tacori~Hope you had a great day indoors. I am jealous! I put off all my errands and of course had a ton to do after picking T up from daycare today so in and out of the cold we went. Yuck! The balls sound awesome. When we get the new house I may have to consider it...until then-no room!

mrss~Love that pic of Jake!! I think it''s my favorite pic you''ve posted!

lili~Miss Tayva is pretty funny. It''s hard not to laugh when she''s being naughty and I want to be serious but it''s just so darn cute. Just wait, J is a ball of fire so you''ll have many a story to tell! Ha ha!

snlee~Cute pics! I''m with the others-LOVE the hair!

QT~M is getting so big! Look at her teeth! Such a cutie!

Diva~Glad everything is going well for you at work. I cannot keep track, but how old is James? Are you planning to start trying for a second when he turns 1? That was our plan...and T will be one Sunday!
41.gif

All this talk about post-breastfeeding *girls* has me depressed. Mine are NOT what they were. I was hoping they''d get smaller, but no, same size just saggier!
38.gif

And, the TTC talk. Seems so crazy that so many of us are talking about being on the preggo thread again. Time flies!!! We''re not really going to start "trying" so much as not trying to prevent starting the middle of February! I can''t believe how soon that is!

Burk, wow, feb is just around the corner! Have fun not trying to prevent! Exciting! :)

Forgot to say, the ball pit sounds like so much fun! I wish we had more space. No way we have room for that in our tiny place.

And about the *girls* - anyone else have horrible stretch marks on theirs? I have very dark stretch marks, which I think is odd considering the size of them hasn''t changed that much. I hope the marks will fade over time. They will never look the same!

qt YAY for M rolling over. i'm sure she'll be doing it more since she knows she can do it. how cute is she sitting up all by herself. she's a doll!
it's pretty funny cause most of the time when B pushes my buttons, and i just tell him "no," he will start to cry or whine and scream "mommy!" but lately, the boy is just relentless! he does not give up.

liliyup, B is just a chatterbox. he LOVES to talk. when he was yapping away today at lunch, DH and i weren't paying too much attention then he started to pound on the table until we looked at him, then he smiled and continued his yapping. J will be there in no time. a few more months before you guys TTC #2! that is so exciting!!

tacori 1 more year before TTC, it'll be here before you know it!

snlee DH and i had lunch at cheesecake factory then walked around union square. it was so nice out.

burk wow!!! february, that's next month already! you are a brave one for sure.

DH and i aren't really going to start TTC yet just because i think we need a bigger house! there is no room for anything and when we do have another baby, we're going to need the extra space. i guess i'm kinda bummed about it, but it is what it is. i know we need the extra space. this just means that i'll have more time to devote to B which is a good thing.
tomorrow is also an exciting day for us. we're having some people come put in a play set for B in the back yard. he is going to love it!!

ETA: SNLEE, no stretch marks, but definitely NOT the same! they are back to their pre-preggo size, if not smaller, but it just appears as if gravity took over way too soon!

Hi Ladies,

Well I''m back at work. 2 hour commute in the morning and end up in crazy NYC--what a change from 3 months of basically never leaving the house in the middle of the ''burbs. It is invigorating and maybe it''ll help me lose that extra 10lbs, but I am TIRED and I miss Chloe and wonder if she''s starting to forget me. My mom is taking care of her and so far so good--but eventually I''ll have to figure out daycare, etc. When I come home she smiles and is happy to see me, but I know she notices I''ve been gone awhile and now she seems much more accustomed to my mom''s hold (she used to cry more with her). Maybe it''s in my head, but I hope things don''t change too much!
I hope to work from home a few days, but scared to ask in this market, anyone have advice?

As for all the photos--love them. The babes are getting so big! And talk of TTC?! Not here (hehe). Curly is my hero for having 2 little ones and working full time, but I dont'' think I could do it! Or at least not for awhile (but at 36, I guess I have to decide by 1 year). Oh and someone mentiioned being pg in the summer--well I got pregnant around a year ago, so was very preggers and walking to work during the hottest months. For some reason, I didn''t mind it but can''t imagine doing it now in the dead of winter with all the snow and people huddling together in the streets. So it''s not so bad if some of you ladies have success soon :)

Run to your nearest Target! I just got back they have KILLER deals. I got a set of stainless play cookware for $2.50!!! Toy vacuum for $3.78! Soccer field ball bit for $22 (going to return the other)! Dancing Broby (Yo Gabba Gabba) $8! A semi FULL of toy cars for $5! My Target had 4 aisles STOCKED. It was thrilling (yes, I am a dork!)

Q, M is so cute! What a sweet smile!

Janine, sorry you are back to work. I promise she will NEVER forget who her mommy is!

Snlee~Yea, coming soon! I'm excited...of course I will keep my PS mommies posted (probably before I inform much of our family!
23.gif
) Oh, and I don't have stretch marks either, just extreme sagginess (I know that's not a word. ha)

puffy~I hear ya on needing more space!! We're contemplating just buying that house we looked at instead of having to wait 6-8 months to be in the house we would build. Need. more. space. Are you guys going to start looking for new houses? We figure you never know how long it'll take to get preggo (we were lucky the first time, but who knows) and I've felt ready for a while so we'll just see what happens!!

janine~Must be so hard having to commute that far! I bet your tired! Like Tacori said, Chloe will NOT forget you. Not going to happen. Of course she'll form a new bond with your mom now that they spend more time together but you will always be her mommy!! I worried about that too, but every day I go to pick Tayva up she smiles really big and points at me and walks over and give me a HUGE hug!

Tacori~I must be a dork, too, because you having me scheming to see when I can go hit up Target!! T has an appointment with her allergist this afternoon and I think she and I may be able to squeeze in a quick trip to Target before the appt.....
31.gif

oh, and QT~I don't think I gave a big YAY
36.gif
to M for rolling over!!!
36.gif

BTW I MUST be a magnet for passive aggressive people! Target is pretty slow at 9 am and the lady working the express said she would take me (I had a cart full of toys...probably 20 since the boxes are huge). I said "are you sure?!?" She said "I''m not scared." So off I went. Keep in mind there was no one else waiting to check out. Well them a rush of people came and a woman with her 4 year old girl ended up behind me. Keep in mind people were giving me mean looks (BUT IT WASN''T MY IDEA TO GO IN THE EXPRESS!) but the woman behind me actually asked "are you open?" to the lady. Ummmm...she is ringing me up. Are you an idiot or a B? Well I think the latter b/c then she starts telling her daughter (who seemed FINE BTW) "sorry baby! Mommy always picks the wrong line! Mommy always picks the slow line" Blah blah blah...are you serious? I didn''t even take THAT long. Why can''t people just relax?

WOW, Tacori, she''s probably the kind of person who would then let the door slam in your face while you''re pushing a stroller!
20.gif

Burk - James is 6 months old and will be 1 on July 2. DH wants to start trying in June (hoping for an April baby) but I may want to wait as late as August. We def. want to have another soon, but I need to get back into my "routine" before we make any decisions.

Snlee - My girls have stretch marks on them too. They are slightly bigger than prepregnancy (I''m a full B now) but not as full. I also still have my linea nigra (sp?) from above my belly button all the way down. Sexy
2.gif
.

Janine - Good luck going back to work! I went back last week and it is hard. It''s the best for my family though and I''m only working part-time so I don''t feel as guilty. (((hugs))).

Ugh - my mother still does that to this day. I hate it because she makes such a big deal out of everything.

20.gif
I''ve had that happen to me too many times. Or people see you struggling to get the door open while maintaining control of the stroller and they just stare. Humph. Some people just don''t get it.

Burk, Haha you are probably right. I already felt bad b/c I feel guilt very easily but she didn''t have to be rude. One day I will snap and say something back to people like her. You are going to go crazy. I also bought another baby doll stroller (for inlaws house) for $3 something. They have lots of dolls. I bought a tutu for $2.50. Also those folding camp chairs for the beach for $11 a piece (Eddie Bauer brand). I did restrain myself b/c my grandfather always said "don''t go broke saving money."

Diva, I am NOT the type of person to go to the express with more than the limit. I really am not. And I do get *silently* annoyed when I am behind someone who does but I would NEVER say anything. She was making multiple comments. My friend said I should have told her off. Haha. That''s not really my style either.

35.gif
Hi everyone!! I know I promised I would be on more often but work is KILLING me! I start to catch up on everything and then get ready to post and I get pulled into something. So annoying--don't they know that I have important things going on here?!?!
3.gif

So I'll just say that I've read everyone's posts and I'm happy that we're all doing well! The photos are simply precious--we seriously have the CUTEST babies I have ever seen.

Things are going well with my brood. Both girls are in daycare and are like rockstars! All the teachers seem to know and love both of them so I'm happy with that. Lucy has been great although I still can't figure out how to get rid of her one middle of the night feeding. I've actually started reducing the amount in the bottle so hopefully that will help. But the girl is big and hungry so I don't want to starve her!!!! She actually SHOCKED me last week by rolling over!
23.gif
23.gif
Isn't it a little early? I had put her on her activity mat for tummy time and within seconds she was on her back. I think it was just a one time thing because she hasn't done it since but I was freaking out--she's growing up too fast! I have to say that one of the big differences I'm finding in myself is that with Lily, I was constantly waiting for the next thing to happen: when will she roll over, when will she sit up, when will she crawl, when will she walk, etc. etc. With Lucy, I'm praying for her to stay a baby FOREVER!!!!! I don't want her to move, I don't want her to eat solids, I don't want her to talk! I absolutely LOVE the newborn stage and it's over soo fast so I'm desperately trying to hold on to it but I don't think there's much I can do!

One more quick tidbit. I took Lily to her first French class last week! The French Institute (Alliance Francaise) here in NYC offers classes for toddlers and I'm a firm believer in teaching foreign languages at early ages so I signed Lily up for it. Oh boy, she's a HANDFUL and I was kind of embarrassed although there were other "bad" kids too! She is just very sure of herself and strong willed and when she decided she was done with the songs and games, she stood up, said "bye" and started to walk out of the room!! I nearly died
6.gif
but it was actually pretty funny. I feel bad for the teacher because she has to try to hold the attention of 9 kids from ages 1-2, for 45 minutes...in another language--there is no English spoken at all!! It's not an easy feat!!! Hopefully things will get better.

So that's my quick update. I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY going to try to keep up with this thread and I'm sorry I'm not acknowledging everyone but I am reading and I'm happy for all of our babies!
36.gif

For lili, I'll post a few photos!

Here''s a funny one of Lily teaching Lucy all about the Bumbo!

sisters.jpg

My very happy baby--drooly but happy!

lucyactivitymat.jpg

My big girl on a sled for the first time--she LOVED it!!! This was at my inlaws'' house upstate over the holidays.

lilysled.jpg

Last one of the girls in matching pjs on Christmas Eve. I don''t think I''ll ever make them dress all matchy matchy but I thought for their new Christmas pajamas, it was ok! Lily is obsessed with cups, by the way. She is a klepto and stole one from Buy Buy Baby and one from BJ''s!!! Starting young...

matchingpjs.jpg

Curly~Such cutie pies! Does Lucy look like Lily did when she was Lucy''s age? Glad they''re both doing well at daycare.

Diva~I can totally understand wanting to get into a routine before even thinking about being preggo again. By the time he''s one, I''m sure you''ll have routine perfected!

Tacori~I can not be a rude person. Just not me. I figure rude people like that are probably not very happy people if they feel the need to waste their energy in negative ways like that, so I just feel sorry for them!
16.gif
I will probably go nuts. I have no self control when it comes to sales. I like your grandfather''s thinking, though. I''ll try and remember that!
